A guide to show you what you need to do as you start the game.

Rune Factory 5 Best Pathing Guide For Beginners

Rune Factory 5 gives the players a lot of freedom from the get-go. However, we’ll argue that it gives too much freedom. While you’re free to do whatever you want, the game doesn’t tell you a lot of things that will benefit you later in the long run. So, you end up having to grind for resources or gold or crops. In this Pathing guide, we’ll show you the right path to starting the game strong. You will be able to avoid that grind as early as possible.

Ideally, you would want to complete your farm chores as fast as possible. Some of these chores can take a whole afternoon (game time, not real-time) and can leave you with no time left to do anything else. You should get those chores done as fast as possible.

While you do your chores, make sure to talk to the villagers as well to up your bond with them. You don’t have to have a full-blown conversation with them. Just talk to them as you pass them by and go on with your way.

Once your farm chores are done, grab a monster with you (assuming you have one with you) and take them with you. This will help you sniff out herbs and such easier, which is what you’ll need a lot of in the long run. Having a monster with you isn’t entirely necessary and can be done without them if you have a good eye, but it just makes the job easier.

Head south and collect any herbs you find, as well as talk to the villagers when you come across them. Once you reach the area with weeds, collect them as you will need the weeds to turn them into fertilizers.

Another thing you should do is to destroy any boxes you find. These boxes have items with them, so destroying them to get the goodies inside is advised.

Once you’re done in the south, head back up north and once again, speak to any villager you see. You should then head up to the hill and speak to anyone who’s up there and destroy any boxes. However, the main reason for going up here is to collect wood, which can be found in the form of tree stumps.

Once done on the hill, head back down and enter the Serendipity shop. Here, purchase whatever you need like seeds and such, as well as speak to the villagers inside that are hanging around. Do the same for Sweet Hearth, which is the bakery shop. Purchasing bread here on a daily basis also gives you its recipes, so make sure to include this in your pathing.

Head back south to the Belpha Ruins. Along the way, make sure to pick up weeds and herbs and stash them. At the ruins, if you have your monster with you, the monster will show a hidden item at the base of the tree. This is one of the many spots where a monster is needed. While other items can be collected without the help of a monster, this is one of those spots that require one.

Once done, head to the beach to break any boxes you may find. Again, make sure to speak to anyone you come across. Afterwards, go up the hill small hill where you can find some rare items, then go down the hill to find more tree stumps and herbs for you to collect.

At this point, you have to go out of Rigbarth and venture to the apple tree to collect apples. Be careful along the way as outside of Rigbarth are monsters, so make sure to go prepared. After collecting the apples, then go to the fruit tree spawn point where you can collect some seeds. Head back after, but keep an eye out for oranges. You can find some sometimes.

Once you’re back in town, visit all of the buildings and talk to all of the villagers inside. They are usually not found wandering outside, so speaking to them inside their respective buildings is the only way. Save Lackadaisy for last, as you will eat something there to regain some HP and RP, as well as talk to the owner.

Afterwards, head back to your home and put some of the items you found in your storage. Keep only the important ones that you want to use for the next day on you. After that, you’re done. You can either go to sleep or take a bath at the bathhouse and call it a day.
