If you’ve been grinding through Rune Slayer lately and noticed players dashing around with blood-red swords, glowing gear, or just straight-up turning into vampires, yeah, that’s no myth. That’s real. And you can do it too. All you need? A Vampire Blood Vial. How do you get it? Simple: Hunt down the 4 Vampire mini-bosses, Karlor, Ferdinand, Draul, and the mysterious Vangar. These guys are tough, unpredictable, and despawn fast if you’re not ready. But I’ve farmed all of them (and gotten clapped a few times doing it), so I put together this full guide to help you find them, camp their spawns, and know what drops to expect.
All Vampire Boss Locations | Karlor, Draul, Ferdinand & Vangar
Meet the Vampire Quartet: Karlor, Draul, Ferdinand and Vangar. Each of these mini-bosses is a unique fight with their own location, loot pool, and attack style. But they all share one thing in common:
They each have a 0.5% chance to spawn every minute (yep, super rare), despawn after just 2 minutes, and most importantly, they all have a 0.5% chance to drop a Vampire Blood Vial, your key to unlocking the Vampire race and crafting late-game Sanguine gear.
If you’re planning to camp them, make sure to bring a pet or mount set to Aggressive Mode to instantly tag them the moment they spawn. These guys don’t wait around.
In this guide, I’ll walk you through the exact spawn locations for all four vampire bosses, how to camp or even AFK their spawns without missing the kill, what each one’s moveset looks like (and what to watch out for), plus a full loot breakdown and how to use those drops to craft some of the strongest vampire gear in the game.

Karlor – The Obscured (Greatwood Forest, Cave Near Basilisk)
Karlor is probably the most farmed vampire mini-boss right now, and for good reason. He drops the Sanguine Greatbow, Thorn dagger, and of course, has a shot at the Vampire Blood Vial.
You’ll find him in the Silver Cape cave in Greatwood Forest, near the Basilisk area. He has a 0.5% chance to spawn every minute (I assume this is the same for all 4 vampire brothers), and despawns after 2 minutes, so bring a pet or mount on Aggressive Mode to tag him instantly.
Once you’re there, Karlor usually spawns around one of the corners of the cave entrance, sometimes inside the wall, sometimes outside. He often gets stuck, which is kind of a free kill.
Karlor’s Moveset
- Ambush – melee grab + jump-back
- Triple Dagger Throw – causes bleeding
- Piercing Slash – two fast thrusts
- Rising Fang – launches you into the air
- Thousand Weapons – throws a rain of daggers from a stance
- Regular humanoid behavior: block, parry, dodge, feint, M1 crit
Karlor’s Drops
- Sanguine Greatbow – 5%
- Sanguine Thorn – 5%
- Vangar’s Coat – 10%
- Vangar’s Scarf – 10%
- Vampire Blood Vial – 0.5%
Fun fact: Karlor drops Vangar’s gear despite only wearing the scarf.

Ferdinand – The Rogue Brute (Old Hut Basement, Near Basilisk)
Ferdinand hides in the basement of a ruined hut near the Basilisk, also in Greatwood Forest. He’s a greatsword-wielding brute with a dangerous moveset and fast despawn time.
From the Server Mining spot, head to the Abandoned Hut near the Basilisk. Go inside the cave and crawl through the small hole. That’s where he spawns.
Important Tip: Make sure to set your pet or mount to Aggressive Mode. Ferdinand can spawn, get stuck, and despawn within seconds, so you need something to instantly tag him. You can AFK camp this spot if needed, but stay close enough to not miss the spawn.
Ferdinand’s Moveset
- Whirlwind – spinning AoE
- Berserker-style + Warrior moves
- Regular humanoid behavior: Parry, dodge, feint, block, weapon crits
Ferdinand’s Drops
- Sanguine Greatsword – 5%
- Awakened Blade Recipe – 20%
- Vangar’s Coat – 10%
- Vangar’s Scarf – 10%
- Vampire Blood Vial – 0.5%
He’s your best bet if you’re aiming to craft the Sanguina katana.

Draul – Katana Vampire (Withered Thicket, Near Lich Dungeon)
Draul is your target if you’re hunting for the Sanguine Ken (the sleek vampire katana). He spawns in Withered Thicket, just to the right of the Lich King dungeon door. Turn right when you get close, you’ll see the area.
There used to be a tree nearby that marked his spot, but it’s gone now, so just stick close to the cliffside path and keep watch.
Draul’s Moveset
- Katana strikes with fast bleed damage
- Standard humanoid behavior (parry, block, feint)
- Harder to dodge due to his reach
Draul’s Drops
- Sanguine Ken – 5%
- Awakened Blade Recipe – 20%
- Vangar’s Coat – 10%
- Vangar’s Scarf – 10%
- Vampire Blood Vial – 0.5%
This is the guy you camp if you’re after the iconic red blade and Sanguina upgrades.

Vangar – Vampire Elite (Bahlgar, Near Beastman Camp)
Ah yes, Vangar, the most unpredictable and annoying vampire boss of them all. He spawns randomly around the Beastman Camp in Bahlgar, and he roams. No set timer, no fixed spot. He just exists when he wants.
Tip: If you’re low level or soloing, bait the nearby Beastmen into aggroing him for you. Then clean up the kill once they weaken him.

Vangar’s Moveset
- Shuriken Throw – ranged knockback
- Parry, dash, M1 crit, feints
- Fast attack chain + unpredictable movement
Vangar’s Drops
- Sanguine Blade – 5%
- Skill Book: Dual Weapons – 5%
- Vangar’s Coat – 10%
- Vangar’s Scarf – 10%
- Vampire Blood Vial – 0.5%
Definitely the hardest to track, but worth it if you’re going for dual weapon builds.

Wrap-Up: Which Vampire Should You Farm?
If you’re just going for the Vampire Blood Vial, honestly? Camp Karlor or Ferdinand. They’re the easiest to track and fight.
If you’re crafting Sanguina gear, then go after:
- Draul for the katana (Sanguine Ken)
- Ferdinand for the greatsword
- Karlor for ranged gear
- Vangar for dual weapon builds + skillbook
And remember, they only have a 0.5% spawn chance per minute and despawn quickly. So camp smart, use pets on aggressive, and don’t fall asleep waiting.
