With the new Rune Slayer update on Roblox, we now have access to a lot of new content. From new classes and races, various changes and new weapons, there’s a bunch that players can explore. One new weapon that players have been wanting to get their hands on because of it’s damage is the Darius Greataxe. However, to get it, you will need to deal with a secret boss that can be difficult to find. Not to worry, we have you sorted out. In this guide, we’ll show you how you can get the Darius Greataxe and find the Darius Boss NPC. Let’s get into it!
How To Get Darius Greataxe
Before getting into how you can get the weapon, you’ll want to see whether the weapon is actually worth getting. Luckily, there are no requirements that you need to fulfill to be able to actually equip it, unlike the new sanguinaire katana.
The Darius Greataxe is a Corrupted Greataxe that can do both physical and fire damage – dealing massive damage altogether.
The Darius Greataxe in Rune Slayer offers the following stats:
- Level: 45
- Physical Damage: 12
- Fire Damage: 10
- +16 Strength
- +5 Stamina.
Additionally, from what we’ve been able to tell, the Darius Greataxe actually scales with Fire as well. You can probably tell by the cool fiery aesthetic it has!
With this combination of fire and physical damage, you can deal a massive amount of damage overall. As a result, we strongly recommend you get this Greataxe.
Darius Boss NPC (Greataxe Obtainment)
To actually get your hands on the Darius Greataxe in Rune Slayer, you need to defeat the Darius Boss – which is a secret boss that you actually might not have known was in the game until now. The Darius Greataxe has a chance from dropping from him.
However, the problem with getting this weapon, besides the obvious grind – is actually finding the boss. This is because the Darius spawns at random times – and despawns very quickly.
Starting off, let’s take a look at the locations where you can find the boss. There are actually two locations in Rune Slayer where you can find the Darius boss NPC.
For the first location, you’ll want to follow the route shown below, starting from Lakeshore Village.
However, we were able to find more luck getting him in the second location. For the second location, follow the river near the Lakeshore Village until you arrive at the cave.
If you do manage to find him here, try to kill him as quickly as possible before he despawns. When you defeat him, there is a chance for the Darius Greataxe to drop.
It will likely take you a few tries before you’re able to get the weapon. So, just keep at it and eventually you should be able to get it to drop. Once it does drop, simply equip it and you’re set.
However, if you’re not having luck with this method, there is a potentially quicker farming method we’ll go over next.
AFK Farming Method
There is a farming method that you can do AFK to increase your chances of finding the Darius NPC. This method is much better than server hopping and hoping you find him at these locations.
For this method, you will need to bring a pet. After that, position that pet in the location indicated. This is because Darius tends to jump into the corner when he spawns if there is no player. Most likely, this is due to a glitch.
However, by placing your pet here, he will get aggroed and start hitting your pet – ensuring he does not despawn while you are AFK. Make sure to set his state as Aggressive to ensure this method works.
