Rune Slayer on Roblox recently had a new update that added a bunch of new content. This includes new races, classes and so many more additions. One of the major parts of this new update that players have been excited for is the legendary Katana, Sanguinaire. This katana is arguably the best katana in the game – although it is difficult to get. If you’re having trouble with this, we’ve got you covered. In this guide, we’ll go over everything you need to do to get your hands on this katana – including the farming location. Let’s get into it!
How To Get New Legendary Vampire Katana Sanguinaire
Before we get into how you can obtain the Sanguinaire in Rune Slayer, you will need to understand the requirements. To be able to actually wield the vampire katana, you will need to have the Samurai Class at 50.
So, even if you get it, you will not be able to use it without making sure these requirements are fulfilled. You’ll need to ensure your build actually suits it.
The Sanguinaire is without a doubt the best katana in Rune Slayer. Here are the stats it has:
- Level: 50
- Physical Damage: 18
- Fire Damage: 4
- +18 Strength
- +27 Agility
- +10 Stamina
- -5% Holy Resistance.
On top of that, the Sanguinare has the following passives:
- Chance on hit to make your target bleed
- Your Agility is increased based off your Strength.
Sanguinare Recipe And Materials Location
Now that you understand the requirements to use the Sanguinare, it’s time to see how you can get it. Starting off, you will need to acquire the Sanguinare recipe, known as the Awakened Blade Recipe.
You can get it from only one specific Vampire NPC found near a tree in the Withered Thicket. There are many vampires on the map, but you can farm only this specific one.
Below is the route you can follow from the Ashenshire village to the Vampire’s location.
As you can see in the route, the vampire was not currently present there. Unfortunately, the Vampire NPC spawns at random times – and he does not stay for long. As a result, many people tend to server hop so that they can find him.
Once you do manage to find him, you can get the Awakened Blade Recipe that has a chance to drop. It is possible that you may have to kill him multiple times to get the recipe. However, most people were able to get him after a few tries.
The major issue is actually getting him to appear and finding him.
After you get the Awakened Blade Recipe, use it and now you’ll be able to see the Sanguinare recipe at a crafting table in Ashenshire Village. Over here, you should be able to make out some requirements.
Below are the materials you need to craft the Sanguinaire, and where you can find them:
- x1 Sanguine Ken
- Random chance to drop from the same vampire NPC
- x1 Vampiric Ring
- Drops from Vampiric Dragon
- Can also be obtained from trades as it is currently tradable
- x1 Vampire Blood Vial
- Random chance to drop from the same vampire NPC.
Luckily, you should be able to get most of these drops the vampire NPC. You might even be able to get some of these alongside the recipe!
It is possible that you could get these drops from other vampires. However, most players seem to have reported no luck with the drops.
Alternate Farming Strategy
If you’re waiting for the vampire NPC to spawn but have had no luck so far – there is a method you can use to AFK farm him. To do this, you will need to bring a pet along with you. Take the pet to the same vampire NPC location we mentioned above.
After that, change the state of the pet to aggressive. In this way, when the vampire NPC spawns, he will not despawn since the pet will be attacking him.

Just keep in mind that other players on the server will be on the lookout for him too – so be warned!
