Surviving on an island that pretty much everything and anything wants to kill you, you should expect that capitalism will still find its way to your doorstep (if you have a door). While players will be focused on surviving the island and its inhabitants, they will be needing supplies. Here is where you come in with your vending machines.. However, how will you know that you have sold something if you are far away? In this guide, we show you how you can get a notification at anytime your vending machine sells something.

Get Notified If Your Vending Machine Sold Something Guide – RUST

Get the required items first

There are three different designs that you can do in order to get notifications from your vending machine. However, we will be focusing on this one as it is the most difficult design, but it will send you notifications at all times whenever your vending machine sells something. The other two designs don’t let you do that, so this design is more ideal.

First off, you will need the following items:

  • Large Solar Panel
  • Wire Tool
  • Small Rechargeable Battery
  • Splitter
  • Storage Monitor
  • RF Broadcaster
  • Memory Cell
  • RF Receiver
  • RF Pager
  • RF Transmitter

Set up the items

Now that you have all of the items needed, we now move on to setting up our vending machine to give notifications. First off, put the rechargeable battery right next to the vending machine. Preferably to the right of it.

Go up above the roof of the building where the vending machine is and place the Large Solar Panel at the top. Take note that you can’t just set it up in any way you want. You need to have the solar panel facing north to get more of the sun on the panels.

Once you have the solar panel placed, use your Wire Tool and find the Power Out part of the solar panel (on the left side) and go back to the Small Rechargeable Battery and connect it to the Power In.

Next, bring out your Splitter and place it next to the vending machine, but above the battery. After placing the Splitter, bring out your Wire Tool again and connect the Power Output from the battery and connect it to the Splitter’s Power In.

With the Splitter set, we will now place the Storage Monitor at the top of the vending machine.

After setting the Storage Monitor at the top of the vending machine, place the RF Broadcaster at the bottom of the vending machine. You can place it on the left side as the right side is already occupied.

With both the Storage Monitor and RF Broadcaster now placed in the world, go to the Splitter and use your Wire Tool to connect the first Power Out socket and connect it to the Power In socket of the Storage Monitor.

Next, we place the Memory Cell on the left side of the vending machine. After that, we use the Wire Tool to connect the second Power Out of the Splitter and connect it to the Power In of the Memory Cell.

Then, we connect the Output of the Storage Monitor to the Set of the Memory Cell.

Then we connect the Output of the Memory Cell to the Power In of the RF Broadcaster.

After you have connected the Memory Cell to the RF Broadcaster, you then have to set the frequency that will match with your pager. It can be any frequency, as long as it matches with the pager.

Next, we place the RF Receiver on the ground next to the Small Rechargeable Battery and connect the Power In to the third Power Out of the Splitter. Then, connect the Power Out of the receiver to the Reset of the Memory Cell.

After that, you then have to set the frequency of both your RF Receiver and the RF Transmitter. Remember, do not set the frequency to the same number as your RF Broadcaster and RF Pager. For your receiver and transmitter, use a different frequency.

And that is it! You will now receive any notification that someone has purchased something from your vending machine.

Huge thanks to HTF Games Studio for the information on how to get notifications.
