Sakura Stand continues to get updated with new and seemingly overpowered specs taken from all sorts of franchises, branching ever so further away from its roots in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure. In the latest patch, they added a few new ones, including the Red Mist, also known as Gebura. In this guide, we will be showing you how to get it and what it can do!

How to Get New Red Mist or Gebura

The only thing you need to know when it comes to getting the new Red Mist spec is that you must complete a quest from an NPC named Q3. He can be found in Park 2, and it is easy to spot him as he is constantly dancing near the cemetery.

Basically, talking to him will reveal the progress for summoning a boss. Once this progress has reached 100%, the portal to the boss will spawn in the map.

According to the community, the progress for this portal is tied to the server. This means that everybody in the server will contribute towards progress in Q3’s quest. However, this also means that you cannot leave, or else you will have to do it all over again in a different server with other people.

In order to gain progress, you will have to kill various enemies that can be found all throughout the game. They each give varying values of progress, and the current known ones are the following:

  • Curses – These give an unknown amount of progress, but it is definitely not zero. Might be worth killing, but it typically gives very low progress.
  • Frogs / Fishbone – Both of these enemy types will grant somewhere between 1% to 2% progress.
  • Menos Grande – These can give somewhere between 3% to 5% progress.
  • Adjuca – Killing one of these will add around 3% to 7% progress towards the quest.

Once the progress meter is full, a red portal with floating eyes can be found near the café and the parking lot. Be ready for a tough fight, as you will be thrown right into a required boss fight!

The Boss Fight… or Fights

When you first enter through the red portal, you will come face to face with the Mimicry boss. This boss is a bit of a sponge in that it can take a lot of damage, but an entire server working together can beat it with ease.

Because of how everybody is rushing it together, little is known about its specific moves at the moment. However, just know that the fight comes in multiple phases and tends to be very buggy at times.

Phase 1 – Mimicry

During the first phase, Mimicry will be using a some pretty basic attacks, though they will hurt quite a bit! Their appearance also seems to be a copy of whoever entered the portal first.

Just keep beating it down until its HP bar goes all the way down to nothing. If you die, you can simply run into the portal and get back into the fight. The only thing you have to keep in mind is that you must not die at the very last part later on.

Phase 2 – Mimicry (Red Egg with Eyes)

Once the first phase is done, Mimicry will turn into a creepy red egg with eyes. After a brief moment, it will hatch, and Mimicry will now be carrying a scythe.

In this form, it will be much more dangerous as they are harder to use crowd control on. Mimicry will also have even more health in this phase, as well as deal a lot more damage.

This boss will also be much faster and can occasionally teleport around the arena. Remember to always stay mobile and chip away at its health as much as you can without getting obliterated.

It also has a life stealing passive, so avoiding damage is essential to a quick kill. There does not seem to be a time limit for the entire fight, though you definitely would not want this to last too long as it would be really tedious.

Phase 3 – Red Mist

Once Mimicry is down for good, it will drop an item of the same name somewhere in the arena. If anyone in the server tries to pick it up, the real boss will spawn.

The Red Mist will appear in a brief cutscene, where she walks in to pick up the sword from the ground. After that, the fight will begin immediately, and she will be using moves from the Red Mist spec. We will be covering that in the next section.

She is quick and deadly, to the point where avoiding damage might be impossible in most cases. Just try your best not to get hit throughout the fight and prepare to die a lot if your damage is not that great.

The Red Mist will also have a ton of life steal, especially as her health gets lower. Because of this, the fight can be very long, even with a large group of players fighting her.

Once she goes down, she will drop Mimicry, which only one player can get. It is unconfirmed if this is intended or if there is a way to get the item as a group, so you might need multiple attempts if you are trying to get it with other people.

Again, it should be noted that you must not die when the boss goes down. This is because the portal will close and you can no longer enter the arena when she dies, so if you are stuck outside, you are out of luck and will have to do the entire process from the start.

Red Mist Abilities

The Red Mist is a very aggressive spec that has a lot of high impact moves and flashy blood themed moves. Here are all of its abilities:

  • E.G.O Manifested (Q Move – Passive) – The user will have a 50% damage boost and 15% damage reduction while in the E.G.O state. This is done by pressing Q once the red meter at the left side of the screen is full.
  • Spear (E Move) – The user will do a front stab with the sword multiple times, dealing a bit of damage with each hit.
  • Level Slash (R Move) – The user will perform a couple of wide slashes that will also inflict bleed. The second slash does more damage than the first.
  • Upstanding Slash (T Move) Mimicry is slammed into the ground twice, dealing damage in an area around the user. As with the previous move, the second hit will deal more damage.
  • Onrush (Y Move) – The user will dash forward and then perform a horizontal slashing attack that deals a bit of damage. It should be noted that the dash deals no damage, so you will have to aim the slash after dashing forward.
  • Great Split: Vertical (G Move) – This is a cutscene attack that deals a ton of damage on a successful hit. Incredibly flashy and brutal animation.
  • Retaliate (H Move – Counter) – While active, the user will counter the next hit with a kick and a slash, both dealing quite a bit of damage overall.
  • Focus Point (Z Move) – Once activated, the user will receive a 5% damage buff that will last for a full minute. While this is active, your attacks will also inflict bleed.
  • Great Split: Horizontal (H Move – ONLY IN EGO FORM) – This is another cutscene move, and it is only usable when you have E.G.O Manifested active. It deals a lot of damage in a wide area.

It should also be noted that E.G.O Manifested, while active, will grant you a few other buffs like bonus passive healing and life steal on hit.
