There are a lot of gnarly monsters in video games, and worms are the worst to encounter. They truly are horrifying just by looking at their body structure and faces and in video games. They are annoying and there are times they are programmed to be poisonous and cause other status ailments to your character now.
Today, we are also going to talk about “worms” in Scars Above and how to get past them.
To the Worms, We Go
To get to the area where the worms are, you must just interact with the tree in this location before moving on to the next location.
While there, you will come across this monster. Be sure to equip your Thermic Charger and aim towards the beast’s chest because that is where its weak spot is.
Once you have fired a few bullets at it, the monster will simply stop moving because it has run out of health points.
After defeating the monster just keep on moving forward you will encounter some alien spiders along the way just uses your VERA gun to get rid of them.
Once you’ve eliminated those spiders, just keep on going forward and a brief cinematic of a roaring monster will begin to play. Just keep going forward by following the quest signal on your screen.
When you arrive at this spot, ONLY WALK ON THE FROZEN PATH. If you tread on any other path, worms will start attacking you, which will result in your death.
You will run into the alien spiders once more after crossing the trail; simply use your VERA gun to eliminate them. Just watch out while you’re being cornered by the spiders so you don’t drop off the surface and get eaten by worms.
Certain alien monsters will also spawn on unfrozen water, so take care to avoid getting attacked by them. As soon as they appear, use a VERA gun to shoot them; doing so will deal double damage since the monster has a water affinity.
You can use the glowing cubes to restore your health and to save your game, but keep in mind that each time you do so, the alien monsters will respawn. This game kind of reminds me of Dark Souls, lol
The alien species that is oozing cryo substances from its body is another thing you’ll run into. If you want to interact with it, press “E,” and your character will begin scanning it.
Your character will obtain a sample from it and explain that she can use it against the worms once she has finished analyzing it and come to the conclusion of what it actually is.
After that, your screen will suddenly change to the crafting screen, where you can build a cryo-launcher that can be used to cross water without getting eaten by worms and unleash round shots that can freeze enemies.
Now that you have the cryo launcher, all you have to do is use it to freeze the water so that you can use it as a passage to complete the game’s primary goal.
You can also use it to freeze both small and big alien monsters to delay their approach to you.
And that’s how you find your way through the worms.
