Kenpachi has arrived in Second Piece, and he’s bringing pure destruction with him. If you’re looking for a powerhouse spec with insane damage output, this is the one to grind for. However, there’s a catch, Kenpachi doesn’t have basic M1 attacks, which may not be for everyone. In this guide, we’ll go over how to obtain him, his complete moveset, and whether or not he’s worth the effort!

Kenpachi Complete Guide & Showcase

Unlocking Kenpachi requires some grinding, but the process is straightforward. Here’s what you need to do:

  1. Head to Starter Island – This is where you’ll craft Kenpachi at the island’s crafting station.
  2. Defeat the Kenpachi Zaraki Boss – This boss drops the Kenpachi’s Sword Craft Recipe (~5% chance (?), not sure) needed for crafting.
    • Spawn Rate: 1% chance every minute
    • Location: Hueco Mundo
    • Level: 1250
    • Health: 35 million
    • Warning: This boss is extremely powerful and can one-shot you if you’re not careful.
  3. Craft [Sealed] Kenpachi’s Sword – You’ll need the following materials:
    • 1 Kenpachi’s Sword Craft Recipe (~5% drop chance from Kenpachi boss)
    • 15 Gold
    • 10 Iron
    • 20 Coal

Once crafted, you’ll obtain [Sealed] Kenpachi’s Sword, which grants you the Kenpachi spec upon using it. This is for trading purposes, as only the [Sealed] version can be traded, once it’s used, it’s permanently yours to keep and can’t be transferred.

Once you’ve got Kenpachi, the next step is enhancing his abilities with the Miracle Enchant. Applying this enchant further boosts his power, making him even more devastating in combat.

After unlocking Kenpachi, you’ll also receive the Kenpachi Title, marking your achievement.

Kenpachi’s Moveset & Combat Showcase

Kenpachi is a high-damage, spec-based weapon, but it has a unique downside: no M1 attacks. Instead, it relies on its brutal abilities to deal massive amounts of damage.

    • Damage: 225,015
    • Cooldown: 3 seconds
    • Duration: 1 second
    • Effect: Moves the user forward while attacking
  • [X] Manic Pressure
    • Damage: 75010 x 13 = 975,130 total
    • Cooldown: 10 seconds
    • Startup Time: 0.5 seconds
    • Duration: 1.5 seconds (stationary)
  • [C] Ichimonji
    • Damage: 843,780
    • Cooldown: 15 seconds
    • Startup Time: 2 seconds (stationary)
  • [V] Crazed Slam
    • Damage: 93,760 x 10 = 937,600 total
    • Cooldown: 7 seconds
    • Startup Time: 1 second
    • Duration: 1 second (stationary)

Kenpachi’s attacks deal massive AOE damage and can easily take down enemies with high HP. Even against the Elisabeth boss, Kenpachi’s moves, shred through enemies, making it a top-tier damage dealer.

Is Kenpachi Worth Getting?

So, is Kenpachi worth the grind? That depends on what you’re looking for.

Pros:

  • Insane Damage Output – One of the highest in the game
  • Massive AOE Abilities – Great for clearing groups and bosses
  • Unique Playstyle – Feels different from traditional weapons

Cons:

  • No Basic M1 Attacks – Limits general utility, so you’ll rely on your cooldowns and kiting whike you wait for your abilities to come up again.
  • Requires a Tough Boss Fight – The Kenpachi boss is no joke!

For players who want a high-damage, boss-melting weapon, Kenpachi is absolutely worth grinding for. However, if you prefer weapons with M1 combos, you may find it a bit restrictive. Kenpachi is incredibly powerful, but there’s room for improvement. One potential buff the developers could consider is: Introducing a high-damage F mode with cooldowns. But even without these changes, Kenpachi remains a beast and a fun weapon to use.
