Being a detective means being a cunning lockpicker, at least that’s how it goes in Shadow of Doubt. In order to effectively tail people, sometimes you have to go the extra mile and break in their house. Wait, isn’t that illegal? That’s Shadow of Doubt in a nutshell. Of course, you can’t do break in without lockpicks. No need to worry about that since we’re gonna tell you how you get more lockpicks in the game.
How to Get More Lockpicks
If you’ve been playing the game, you’ll know that lockpicks are one of the essentials in the game. They are introduced and given early to the player usually to open doors. So, what happens if you’ve ran out of lockpicks? We have good news for you.
Here are 3 ways to obtain lockpicks in Shadow of Doubt:
- Choosing a Starting Scenario: This is the first way. In the start of the game, you will be given a few scenarios for a bunch of unsolved crimes. Just pick 1 and the game will hand over a bunch of them.
- Buy them: Refer to our article on How to Get Handcuffs. You can buy them in the City Hall Vending Machine for 50 Credits for 30 pieces.
- Check the cabinets, floors, and tables everytime: Yes. EVERYTIME. Paper clips and hairpins are considered as lockpicks, and they will automatically be added on your lock pick count once you obtain one.
Happy break-ins! Try not to get bonked by the homeowners, though.
