Civilization VI has a lot of leaders to choose from. From Teddy Roosevelt to Cleopatra, to even Alexander the Great. You can choose to play any of these leaders and more. However, the big question that a lot of people ask before selecting a leader is who is the best out of the mall? It’s definitely a tough question to answer as all of the leaders are unique from each other. But we can give you a list of the best leaders you can choose.
Best Leaders In The Game – Sid Meier’s Civilization VI
First off is the Macedon. They are among the best for Domination and Science. They are heavy on conquest, meaning you can easily take over the world early in the game if you wanted to.
Rome gets to be a part of this list just because of their Legion units. The Legion has 40 combat strength that they can easily use to kick other civilizations into the dust while they continue to raze down cities in their path.
The Ottomans are a great civilization to use because of their bonuses alone. You get a ton of loyalty and amenities from each captured city you get.
The Japanese have an adjacency bonus that puts them among the best of the best in Civilization VI. Every adjacent district has one yield to any district adjacent to it, which basically means you have to have a lot of districts adjacent to others in order to fully take advantage of the bonus.
Korea’s base Science makes them a massive juggernaut when it comes to Science Production in Civilization VI. It helps them get a leg up against other civs with low science.
This may come as a shock to some of you, but Bull Moose Teddy is a pretty good leader when it comes to starting the game. Your tiles get Science and Culture if they’re near mountains and woods, which is a lot in the game.
Germany is an industrial monster when the game reaches the Industrial Era. They can essentially dominate production in any game you start.
Byzantine’s cavalry is so effective, that you might think the horses have come straight from Skyrim. You can pillage a city just by sending one small group of the cavalry and they come home mostly unscathed.
Babylon is, well, Babylon. This civilization impresses people in real life and in-game. Making crossbows in the beginning makes them learn how to make cannons and gunpowder. Makes you think that maybe the Eternals movie has a bit of truth to it.
Lastly is Russia. Is it Putin Russia? No, just Russia. They have a lot of Great People to start with and they are hard to get when playing as other civs. With the amount of Great People Russia has, the culture victory is more than assured.
