SimRail is the newest addition to the train simulator genre, quite niche part of the gaming sphere that has a lot of fans. You might not know this but there are actually a lot of people out there that enjoy playing train simulators, from Japanese Train Otakus, to Train fanatics in Europe admiring their history. SimRail is looking to be one of the better ones out there, but there’s something that a lot of people ask, can you play it on Singleplayer? There’s not much information on the page about that so here we are answering your question on this newest Train Sim!
Can You Play Singleplayer In SimRail?
Most Simulation games usually have a mix of singleplayer and multiplayer in them. I myself like playing IL-2 Sturmovik and they give you a chance to do both. In SimRail it’s quite different though since they have a heavy emphasis on the Multiplayer part of the game.
Yes you can play Singleplayer in SimRail, but you’re only limited to 10 scenarios of various Lengths. What may be a deal breaker to some is that you can’t save in these scenarios, forcing you to either pick the shorter ones or do the long ones in one sitting. The Singleplayer element of this game is quite lacking, so if you wanted more of playing alone with trains then you’re better off waiting for updates or trying something else!
The game is still new and hopefully they receive the feedback of players wanting more Singleplayer modes, only time will tell if they can deliver. The game is still in its early days though so more updates will come in the future, for now they’re quite busy fixing bugs and such so let’s give them some time. Hopefully in the future we can have a sandbox singleplayer experience!
