When playing through a survival crafting game most of the time, you’ll be gathering resources. Sometimes it’s from trees, or mining nodes or even enemies, whatever the resource is we’ll gather and hoard it. It’s second nature in these types of games since it’s such a common mechanic in the genre.
In Smalland it’s no different since there’s a lot of materials you can collect throughout the world. From Chitin to Clay everything is needed to progress through the game. In this guide we’ll show you where to find Iron, for those who need it for their crafting recipes.
How To Get Iron In Smalland: Survive The Wilds
In Smalland there’s a lot of different materials you can get in the game, one of which is iron. Before you even go start looking for iron, you’ll need a tool to gather it. To gather iron, you’ll need to make yourself a pickaxe so go ahead and make one before continuing on. You’ll need at least a Flint Pickaxe to gather iron.
Once you have your pickaxe, you’ll need to find these Scrap Metal nodes. These nodes can be found in in abundance on the upper left part of the map.
Once you do find some, you can whack it with your pickaxe! Each Scrap Metal node will give you around 3-5 Iron Shards so you’ll need to gather a lot of them if you plan on having a lot of iron!
Once you have enough Iron Shards you can then build a Furnace and make process these Iron shards to useful components!
Congratulations you now know how to get iron in Smalland! Now go out there and gather as much iron as you can find, don’t forget to check your inventory though because it might get full!
