The first mission of the Stoutheart campaign is an introduction to the game’s most basic controls and can be simplistic, much like in any other game. Yet, we can still see how it can be confusing considering the game’s traditional approach to its tutorials. Thus, we came up with an easy walktrhough to clear the first mission of the Songs of Stoutheart campaign without any troubles.
Mission 1 Full Walkthrough
First things first, the player should explore the map first to recruit troops and gain experience and resources. It’s also important that they approach all the landmarks they’ll encounter to get buffs and experience for their wielder. For this mission, the players must always choose the units and not gold for any recruitment camps that they encounter.
Tip: When a landmark is emitting sparkles, this is an indicator that you have not approached it yet.
Next, they can now go to the mine in the east to complete the gold mine objective. With all the buffs and recruitments they’ve made, it should be easy to defeat the rebel militia without any losses.
Then, the players can now make their way to Flint Hills by the west. After defeating a rebel peasant on the way, Cecilia Stoutheart will increase her level by one.
Because most of the enemies at this stage of the game are melees, we recommend the players to choose the melee resistance for their first and second skill.
Now, they can proceed onwards to face the Bannerless Knight at the Flint Hill’s foot.
He is a strong enemy and the player will encounter losses, but a neutral Peasant Hut at the town ahead will let them recruit Militia Crossbowmen, and there are also multiple recruitment camps down south to help them recover back their numbers.
After that, they should clear the Fae enemies south to clear the offering objective.
Then, head westward to complete the main objective of investigating Hope’s Glade. If they’ve approached all landmarks and reached level 3 by now, defeating another mercenary enemy on the way will increase Cecilia’s level to 4. This time, the player should choose command skill to increase the number of their troops.
With Hopes Glade cleared, approach the tavern at the top left to recruit minstrels.
After that, march eastward to liberate the town of Barkspur by defeating enemy Wielder, Nimander Breeze.
With all the units and skills obtained, the player should be able to defeat him easily and claim Mission Victory!
