Patch 13 has dropped for Sons of the Forest, changing the locations of the Golden Armor. That’s just one of the many things that have been changed in the game, notably since it’s been released. And as one of the key items to finishing the game, we’re going to show you where to go to get the armor.
As you’ve probably known, Golden Armor is one of the best armors in the game because it cannot be broken. Although it’s best used against demons and don’t provide as much as other set.
New Golden Armor Location
The Golden Armor is located after the Update 13 Rifle location if you already have your hands on that. If you haven’t or may have lost your way and don’t know how to return to the cave, keep reading.
The cave is located near where you should be after leaving the Katana cave. It is next to the lake in the southwest region under the snowy mountain. Upon entering, stick to the right wall and go through the small gap. Follow the path.
The path will squeeze you at some point and basically just requires you to keep going straight and stick to the right wall. There’s going to be a path that opens to your right marked by the glowing golden rock on the wall.
Go into this path and keep walking until you see a body of water that you can dive into. Use your rebreather to get to the other side. Now from here, if you go straight following the planks, it will lead you to the rifle.
It’s a great idea to come here if you haven’t. But even if you did, the bodies here do have some loots that will aid you because we’re just halfway there.
After looting the area, turn around and stick to the right wall again so you don’t go back to where you came from.
There’s going to be more water you can just swim through. And at the end is a rope that you can climb up.
You know you’re in the right place when you start seeing the golden, artificial structures that’s occasionally visible.
At the end of the path is a wooden barrier you can smash. And then a long slide down the hole into water.
Swim until you reach the other side and now, you’re in an area with a lot of this ancient flooring covering the ground.
Keep going just slightly past the area where there’s water falling from the ceiling’s cracks, which is relatively to the right.
The passage splits into two here. Take the left passage and follow it through. At one point, you should see a dead soldier embedded on the wall with the Night Vision Goggles.
Keep going through a low-ceiling area, into another submerged part of the cave.
You should start seeing more bodies beyond his point. You’re going to see several ways branching out here. Go right past the golden wall and then through the narrow alley.
There’s going to be a bit of swimming here as you keep going straight and stick to the left wall now.
You’re going to pick the left passage again in this area. Eventually, you’ll be in a submerged area with the ancient flooring again.
There should be two bodies with shotgun shells here before we keep going. You’ll notice a path jutting out from your left with planks on them.
Go through that narrow space and then break the barrier. Use the rope to drop down and follow the golden wall which branches into a short dead end with loot to your left and the way to go on the right.
Don’t forget to put your rebreather on as there’s going to be a long swim and then a short dive to go under.
Back on the surface, you’ll be in an open area and there’s only one way you can go here to your right. From here, it’s safe to just follow the trail of dead bodies which are to your left.
Without spoiling you anything, in case you haven’t seen this at all, yes, you’re not seeing this wrong. The door is on its side, and you can just whack the wooden barrier with your axe. You’ll see the body with the Golden Armor in the cockpit.
And that’s where the new Golden Armor location is in Patch 13 of Sons of the Forest.
