Complete Wintertide Event Guide 2023

By the time you log back into the game, the first thing you’re going to notice is the fact that somebody has messed around with the temperature sliders, covering everything you see in a blanket of snow.

Somebody has taken the liberty of putting down appropriate decorations as well. Some of them might kill you if you get too close.

Gameplay & Rewards

During the rest of the event, players will have to complete milestone achievements. The rewards will vary from winter-themed skins to decorations you can put in your house.

To get these rewards, you’ll need to accumulate points. That can be achieved by collecting Candy Canes, Snowflakes, Gingerbread Men, and Christmas Trees. Here’s what each item is worth:

  • Snowflakes – 2 points
  • Candy Cane – 3 points
  • Gingerbread Man – 50 points
  • Christmas Tree – 150 points

During the event, you can use 200 gems to unlock the Premium Holiday Pass and get points faster. These points will add to the points you earn on your Wintertide battle pass.

You can even earn more rewards by defeating monsters along with exclusive bosses for the event. Here’s the rest of the rewards you can get for every 100 points:

  • Mr. Mchilly Skin – Spend 200 gems to unlock the premium holiday pass.
  • Red Hat – Can be claimed in the Wintertide Battle Pass for free.
  • Home Décor

Do note, however, that there’s a limit to how many points you can get each day. You’re only limited to 200 points, consider playing something else for a while once you hit that ceiling.

Event Exclusive Boss

During the event, there’s a 50% chance of encountering Noel Rex in the Everforst Peaks map. Defeat the boss to obtain WinterTide Festival loot and a chance to get exclusive equipment.

If you want, you can bring your friends with you to make the boss fight even tougher.

Playing on Co-op mode on Heroic will lock Everfrost Peaks as an Elite Dungeon. This increases your chances of getting even better loot. Here’s all of the loot you can get from Noel Rex:

  • Noel Rex’s Mittens
  • Noel Rex’s Chullo
  • Noel Rex’s Parka
  • Noel rex’s Snowshoes

The items above also have the Fatebound effect of Soul of the Snowman king. What it does is it summons a small snowman by chance whenever you freeze the enemy.

This snowman will then attack the enemy and reduce his cold resistance.

Another item you can get from defeating Rex is the exclusive red necklace, Heart of Ice. It launches a huge ice ball that breaks into smaller pieces, carpeting a wide area.

Make use of this equipment as a Tempest Mage and is many hybrid classes.

Here we have Alexis, he's been gaming ever since the second Famicom came out. Which is probably the reason why he goes back to platformers every now and then. Somewhere down the line he started getting more and more fascinated about looking at maps change colors for three to eight hours straight. If he's not out strategizing and beating the life out of his space bar in that order there's a good chance you can find him playing an FPS or talking someone's ear out about how game balance gets in the way of realism. You can tell that he really likes getting the full experience of whatever he gets his hands on.
