Special Anime Defense: Best Units Tier List

With the newest special additions in Special Anime Defense, it is time to make a best units tier list. There are a variety of units you can get in the game, and some of them are clearly better than others. Since having good units is one of the most essential things in this game, we will do a best units tier list in Special Anime Defense for you.

Best Units Tier List

Units are your primal method of defense in Special Anime Defense. It is important to have good units to be able to beat even the most difficult waves during the games. In this tier list, all units are ranked based on their benefits, with S being the most powerful and D being the weakest. Remember that this list is purely objective, and might not align with everyone’s opinions.

S+ Tier

The units you are going to see in S+ Tier are the absolute best units you can get in the game. If you can manage to get these units, you will have no problem defeating even the most difficult challenges.

• Hosoko (Bungee): It is the only secret that can launch a full AoE attack when fully improved. Because of this, it outperforms Sand MadMan (Rage).
• Sand MadMan (Rage): Sand MadMan (Rage) boasts a powerful AoE attack that makes up for its lack of AoE with raw damage. When it comes to dealing with bosses, no other unit in the game can match it.
• Sand MadMan: Sand MadMan is comparable to ordinary Hosoko, but has a slightly higher DPS.
• Hosoko:  Hosoko possesses a standard circle AoE attack, which is far worse than its developed counterpart. Nonetheless, it is far superior to any mythic unit based just on raw statistics.
• Itochi (Edo): It is a much-improved version of standard Itochi, with increased base damage, range, and SPA. He is currently arguably the strongest mythic in Special Anime Defense.
• Shonks (Conqueror): Along with Gen (???), Shonks (Conqueror) is the only mythic with a complete AoE attack. Furthermore, its DPS is tremendous, making it quite powerful.
• Bolma: Bolma is currently the lone farm unit in Special Anime Defense, making her one of the few troops you must have on your squad.

S Tier

In this tier, we are going to cover the second-best units in the game. These units are not as powerful as the ones in the S+ Tier. But, their power cannot be denied either.

• Ariva (Reaper): It is one of the most powerful mythics, but because of its limited circle AoE, we couldn’t place it in the S+ tier. Still, Ariva’s high DPS is extremely useful while dealing with bosses.
• Gen (???): It has somewhat less DPS than Evo Shonks, but he remains a top-5 mythic for now, thanks to his full AoE.
• Kollua (GodSpeed): GodSpeed has a low SPA and high total DPS. He is good at interacting with superiors.
• Nobora (Mark): It is another mythic that is most useful while dealing with bosses. She possesses a circle AoE like Kollua but with more damage and a lower SPA.
• Itachi: Itochi has the most DPS of any non-evo mythic in Special Anime Defense. Furthermore, his broad range and cone AoE are great for dealing with bosses and mobs on straight parts.
• Ariva: It has one of the highest DPSs among non-evo mythics. However, he does not provide anything extra that would distinguish him from any other unit.

A Tier

The units in this tier are not bad, but of course, they are not as good as the ones in the higher tiers.

• Nobora: Nobora is a mythic with incredibly well-rounded stats. Her only disadvantage is that her evolution is not as good as other mythics.
• Kollua (Whirlwind): Kollua (Whirlwind) possesses the lowest SPA of any mythic unit, making up for his poor basic damage.
• Shonks: Shonks is slightly worse than ordinary Ariva. However, because his evolution is so much better, acquiring him should be your first objective.
• Gen (Adult): Gen (Adult) is very similar to normal Nobora, but its evolution is significantly superior.

B Tier

These units are mid-level units. Most of them are pretty good, but they have some problems that are stopping them from being better.

• Demon Lord: Demon Lord is far more powerful than any legendary unit. However, it is significantly worse than any mythological. However, putting it in another tier would be incorrect, as a leveled Gen (Serious) would outperform it due to its full AoE strike.
• Gen (Serious): Gen (Serious) is the only legendary in Special Anime Defense with full AoE when placed, making him incredibly important in the first waves. Furthermore, when maxed up, his total DPS and range are comparable to Thick-Browed’s.
• Thick-Browed: It is the most powerful legendary unit when maxed out. Still, he’s a bit lacking in terms of placement and liability if you don’t have anything else to get you through those early waves.
• Touci: Touci has the most DPS of any legendary on paper. However, he starts with a poor cone attack and progresses to an even worse small AoE attack after completely improving. He is simply not a viable option if you have another legendary available.

C Tier

Not the worst choices, but we cannot say that they are good either. We would not recommend you to use these units if you can get any of the units that we put in higher tiers.

• Soboto: It is the best epic unit in Special Anime Defense. He has the same range as Gen and Saske (Curse Mark), but his SPA and damage are simply superior. Furthermore, he has one additional upgrade, making him more viable for Infinite.
• Gen: Gen possesses a small AoE attack with a somewhat lower total DPS than Soboto. He also offers slightly higher placement and upgrade prices.
• Saske (Curse Mark): This unit has the most expensive placement and the lowest stats of any epic unit in Special Anime Defense. Use him only if you don’t have Soboto or Gen.

D Tier

These units are basically overpowered by any of the units we put in other tiers.

• Niruto Kid: It is essentially the same as Saske Kid, although he has a higher SPA. Use him as your primary rare unit until you acquire an epic.
• Goko: Goko’s cone AoE strike can hit more enemies than Niruto Kid or Saske Kid combined. However, his SPA is relatively high, making him less useful than Niruto Kid.
• Saske Kid: It has the cheapest placement and the best stat balance of all rares. Still, he performs somewhat lower than Niruto Kid overall.
