If there’s one thing Star Wars Jedi: Survivor gets right, it’s in-game cinematic in most of its missions. When you get to the Observatory Understructure segment in the game you go there while there are dogfights happening around you. Stormtroopers are there fighting droids and you jump into the middle of it and the sights are just breathtaking.
The level though has a lot of small puzzles that you need to go through. This can be annoying for some people so in this guide, we’ll show you how to progress through them! Now let’s enjoy this amazing level that’ll bring you to new heights, pun intended!
Observatory Understructure Puzzle Guide
At one point in the game, you’ll reach the Observatory Understructure after traversing the tall stone pillars leading to it. Once you’re on the Observatory itself the place is in disrepair though and it won’t be easy to traverse through it. You’ll need to find a way to get through the facility using the many things in it.
There are a series of small puzzles that block your way in the Observatory, and we’ll show you how to deal with them!
First, you’ll see that there’s a doorway that’s obstructed, so you’ll need to find another way. Go to the left and follow the path till you see the area shown above. There to the right is a hole on the wall you can squeeze through.
There you’ll need to find the area shown above where you can force push something on the wall to open it up. Then you can use BD-1’s Electro Dart to shoot at the console behind to open the circular trap door above.
Now go back out to the open using the hole you squeezed through and hop up to where the circular hatch is. You’ll then need to jump down.
There you’ll see the beam that can destroy the black obstacles. A door is blocking the way of the beam, open it to let the beam through.
Now that the beam is out you can then use BD-1’s Koboh Grinder to connect the beam with the obstacle blocking the doorway. Once it’s connected the obstacle will burn away.
With the obstacle gone you can then check the balloon platform dispenser on the left of the doorway. Get one and bring it outside.
Now that you have a Balloon Platform outside, use it to get to the other side shown above. Use the outline the game shows you and launch the platform.
Then jump and use the grapple to the platform and jump to the open room in the next building! Go up the stairs and on top is a meditation spot. Next to it is a wall you can climb to go to the next area.
There you’ll need to use the Platforms to jump to the next zone. There are two balloon platforms you need to jump that leads to a platform. You’ll need to grab onto the wall and do some wall climbing to get on top of it. Then there’s another balloon platform to another area.
Once you’ve jumped off the last balloon platform, you’ll see a large platform where there’s Stormtroopers fighting droids. Head to the location shown above, there’s another balloon platform to help you get there.
Once there be sure to clear the droids, so they don’t shoot you while you’re traversing the area. Head to the right and use the wall to wall run and jump to where there’s two B1 Battle Droids on top.
Once you’re on top, use BD-1 to shoot at the console above the wall with electro dart. It will power the wall and raise it up. You can then use it to wall run and jump to the rotating wall shown below. Then use that to jump to another one, and finally onto a large revolving wall you can climb.
Once you’re through the moving wall and on top of the platform a couple of droids are there to greet you. They’ll get blasted and you can jump to the next platform behind them where there’s more B1 Battle Droids.
After dealing with the droids, you’ll need to find the ledge that leads to a set of rotating platforms. There you’ll also see a wall of electricity that’s not good for your health. Using the rotating platforms, go around the wall of electricity jumping from platform to platform.
At the end you’ll need to jump to a wall and climb to the platform above the electricity and go through the door. Follow the hallway and you’ll find a nice person to battle with.
Did I say nice? I mean a guy that wants to kill you, his name is Urgost, Fist of Rayvis and it’s a boss fight! To be honest it’s not a hard boss fight since he takes 2 centuries to telegraph his big swings so I’m sure you can beat him.
After introducing the boss to the ground go to the right where there’s a locked door. To the left of the door is a circuit BD-1 can shoot electricity into to open it. Go through the door and head left.
There you’ll see a platform you can jump on shown on the image above. Jump onto the platform and use BD-1 again to shoot electricity on the arm with a blue circuit.
It will make the arm bend back and you can use the Balloon Platform Dispenser at the tip. Grab one and set it up so you can jump to the far away floating platform.
Once you get there you’ll need to jump to a wall, climb up and there you’ll meet Bode.
While on top of the platform use BD-1 again to shoot at the same point as before to extend the arm once again.
This will then let you grab another Balloon Platform which you can use to jump onto the next area shown above.
That’s how you go through all those puzzles in the Observatory Understructure in Star Wars Jedi Survivor. There’s a lot of them in there so I can’t blame you if you can’t find yourself around that place! Hopefully this guide helps you progress through this level.
