The big question stands: To Woo? Or not to Woo? Here we will discuss all the friendships and relationships and how to get better at them. Let’s get started.

Updated Relationship Guide For 2022 – Stardew Valley

Building a friendship that might grow into a relationship is something that takes time and effort in Stardew Valley. It is highly entertaining to see and learn about each different character and their likings, and then to finally have them as your spouse.

All Bachelor and Bachelorette characters differ from each other and are all unique. You will see the heart meter next to every character and the more you have, the higher your relationship can go and grow.

Normal villagers will have 10 hearts, while your spouse 12.

To increase Friendship:

  • Every day, have a conversation with the villager.
  • Twice a week, give them a present they like.
  • Finish quests for them.
  • Make the right decisions in cardiac events.
  • At certain events, you may dance with them or engage with them.

If you do something opposite from these above, as well as searching their trash next to them or shooting them with a slingshot, your hearts will go down.

Gifts are the ultimate way of getting hearts and a stable relationship with villagers. These are the best:

  • Fruits of the trees
  • The maple syrup
  • Elixir of life
  • Other than oil and mayonnaise, all artisan items.
  • Fried eggs, toast, and a weird bun are the only cooked foods.
  • Other than poppy flowers, all others
  • Other than quartz, all gems, and minerals.
  • Other than wheat and hops, all vegetables.

Once you get to 10 hearts, you will get certain events that might make your relationship grow even higher with some villagers. This means it can be boyfriend/girlfriend or up to marriage material. You will become more comfortable with some villagers and might even enter their houses without a problem.

You will need the Bouquet from Pierre’s General Store for 200 gold and after this, for marriage, you’ll need The Mermaids Pendant which can be bought for 5000 gold from the Old Mariner. You’ll get married after 3 days of giving this item to a villager.

This here is an updated guide on how to please and get closer and possibly woo or marry all the single villagers:
