There are essentially three skills you’ll be using here. The Black Hole Trap, Creative Trap, and Zero Reset Shot. You’ll also have to unlock the Trap Shot for the Zero Reset Shot. While the Fake Volley Shot is an arguably, less-than impressive skill simply because people we’ll realize it’s a feint. Over time, more people will learn to notice real and fake kicks.

Make sure to read the overview of the trapping skills here on how they work and how to unlock the skill tree. And what skill you shouldn’t take!

Now, trapping is great for both offensive and defensive, but particularly for goalkeepers.

First, the Black Hole Trap is great to catch curve shots and high straights.

Next, you can use Creative Trap or Zero Reset Turn for the low and borrow straights. The basics to use these traps are simple – you have to be trigger happy when a player attempts a shot. And here are small details that will make your movements a lot smoother and save time.

With Creative Trap, when you know someone will do a straight shot, you can readily click on the skill. Hold it down and wait until it’s the right time for you jump forward to trap the ball. The same cannot be done with Zero Reset Turn which immediately activates upon clicking.

On the offensive side, trapping is great for dribbling. Which has to be used in combination with another trapping skill. For example, kick your ball up, catch it with the Creative Trap or any trap skill, then use Trap Shot to shoot your shot. And below is what it’ll look like.

The Zero Reset Turn is possibly one of the best alternatives to use when you don’t have any other dribbling techniques. It lets you dribble across several players or even intercept the enemies.

Finally, what’s the best Prodigy to have that works well with abusing trapping? It’s the Ball Control that gives you 1.5x hitbox multiplier. This means you can even intercept balls even if they look like they went past you.
