Tales of Tanorio is a brand-new game on Roblox that is very heavily inspired by the Pokemon franchise. It borrows a lot of elements from its well-established counterpart, and among that is the ability to get shiny Tanorians by simply getting extremely lucky. In this guide, we’ll show you the fastest method of getting a shiny starter!

Fastest Way to Reset for Shiny Starter

At the start of the game, you will be faced with a fairly long cutscene that you cannot skip. After that, once you are free to move, open the menu by pressing the Tab button.

Go to settings and scroll down to audio. Here, you should turn off Voice Acting to significantly speed up the dialogue in cutscenes. This is essential to the process as you will be faced with more dialogue.

Go To Lab For Your Starter

Now, when you are asked to go to the lab, this is where you will get your starter Tanorian. During the initial cutscene, you will briefly get a glimpse of all three starters inside a sort of terrarium.

When it’s your first time getting here, let it play out for a bit and take note of what the starters look like. Mainly, pay attention to their colors so that you know the appearance of their normal variants.

Quick Reset Until You Get Shiny

After that, quickly open the Roblox menu and click on Leave to close out of the experience. Once you press play, you can click on Continue Adventure and the cutscene should start from the beginning.

Before the cutscene begins, make sure to press Tab to bring up the menu and turn off Voice Acting again. This setting may become active every time you log in, so you might have to do this every reset.

NOTE: A recent hotfix has been released by the developers that supposedly fixes this issue with settings not saving, but it won’t hurt to check every now and then.

Keep repeating this process until you see a shiny version of any of the three starters in the terrarium. This may take you several hours if you’re unlucky, so I hope you’re ready to do this for an unknown amount of time if you really want one.

Once you notice that one of them has a different color, do not reset the game as this is exactly what you want. From there, just choose the shiny starter and you can finally begin the rest of your adventure!
