In Tears of the Kingdom, an addition to the Legend of Zelda series, introduces the Bubbul Gems as one of the new currencies. These precious gems become useful for your character to acquire monster masks and parts from the Koltin salesman.
To obtain these gems, you will need to enter caves and hunt down the Bubbul Frogs lurking within. In this guide, we will provide you with the detailed instructions on how you can locate, defeat, and obtain your Bubbul Gems from the Akkala Citadel Ruins Cave.
How to Find the Akkala Citadel Ruins Cave Bubbul Frog Location
In order to find the Bubbul Frog in the Akkala Citadel Ruins Cave, head to the cave entrance located to the bottom left side of the Akkala Citadel Ruins. If you still cannot find the exact cave entrance or still have not unlocked the map, here are the coordinates you can follow: 3239, 1455, 0292.
The size of the outside building may be big, however, the cave is quite small and only has one path that leads to the end of it.
Keep heading deeper and deeper into the end of the cave where you will be able to see a big structure in the middle. Next, move to your right and prepare to use your Ascend Ability.
Head to the right side and use your Ascend Ability at the higher rock.
Then, use your Ascend Ability one more time to go on top of the wooden platform.
After you have ascended on the top of the wooden planks, look to your right. On your right, there will be an open cave for you to go into.
As you progress deeper, you will see a Bubbul Frog lurking on top of the caves. Use your Bows or any ranged weapons to shoot it down. The Frog is quite easy to defeat and does not perform any strong special attacks against you, so do not worry too much about it.
On defeating the Frog, you can come up to its body and pick up a Bubbul Gem. With this, you can trade it at Koltin’s Shop for some exclusive rewards, such as a Moblin Mask, or Mystic Trousers.
That is how you can find the Bubbul Frog in the Akkala Citadel Ruins Cave and get its Bubbul Gem. There are many other Bubbul Frogs scattered around the vast map of Hyrule, and that means more gems for you to collect!
