In Tears of the Kingdom, leviathans are species of giant beings that resemble sea-creatures. Most are depicted as divine beings though apparently not immortal. A disaster has made them extinct, and has left several near-complete sets of bones scattered around Hyrule. In this guide, we’ll take a look at Eldin’s Colossal Fossil which is one of the three leviathan fossils that you can find in game. If you are looking forward to a smooth excavation then this guide is for you!

Eldin’s Colossal Fossil Guide

  1. Meet Loone near Eldin Mountains.
  2. Repair the fossil by attaching the eyeball using Ultrahand ability.
  3. Talk to Loone to finish the quest.

Detailed Walkthrough for Eldin’s Colossal Fossil Side Quest

To activate the side quest we need to talk to Loone near East Akkala Stable in coordinates (4330, 2819, 0141)

She will then meet you in the Eldin Great Skeleton near the Eldin Mountains in coordinates (1641, 3700, 0098)

Upon arriving at the site, you will notice that the fossil is missing an eye. In order to repair it, you need to get the eyeball beneath the fossil.

You need to destroy the rocks surrounding the eyeball to get it by attaching a bomb flower to an arrow.

After destroying the rocks surrounding the eyeball, you can grab it with your ultrahand ability to put it in the eye of the fossil.

Once done, you can talk to Loone again to finish Eldin’s Colossal Fossil side quest and to get your reward.
