How to Increase Inventory Size Early

There are several reasons on why you should increase your inventory size. Good examples would be so your item set can be more versatile for different opponents, and for boss fights since fighting them requires lots of equipment. As you know, weapons and shields get worn out in the game.

Make sure you have Korok seeds prepared for our Korok friend. In case you haven’t encountered one, here are some locations you can look for in the Great Sky Island. But don’t worry too much, we’ll talk about them more later in the guide.

Finding Hestu

You’ll have to go to this location northwest of Central Hyrule, on the hill near Lindow’s Brow Skyview Tower. In case you’re wondering, he looks like a tree with maracas on his hands. For reference, check the image below.

Though take note that after meeting him in this area, he’ll eventually move to two other locations which are, in order: southeast corner of Lookout Landing and lastly, in the Korok Forest in Northern Hyrule. We’ll talk about why and when he moves another location further in the guide.

Hestu’s Concern & How to defeat the cluster of Hostile Trees

After meeting our Korok friend, you won’t be able to interact with him just yet. Trying to interact with him will trigger the side quest. The task is to defeat the moving trees called ‘Evermeans’ that are scaring Hestu.

Once you approach them, they’re going to jump up and start attacking you. Don’t worry, they don’t deal that much damage. However, they are immune to all forms of attack but these two:

The two ways to defeat them are: by setting them on fire and using a weapon capable of chopping like claymores.

After defeating the trees, you’ll now be able to interact with a cheerful Hestu. As a bonus, you’ll get a couple decent loot consisting of sticks which you can use as weapons.

Talking to Hestu & Using Korok Seeds to increase Inventory Size

For helping out the Korok musician, you’ll now be able to talk to him. He will give you 3 options to increase inventory size by 1: for weapons, shields, or bows. However, you’ll need to trade Korok seeds in exchange for the upgrades.

The further you upgrade into the categories, the more Korok seeds you’ll have to give. You can only upgrade twice (can be any combination) in the first location. When you do so, he’ll move to another location which is mentioned in the upper part of the guide.

As promised before, we’ll talk about on where to find the Korok seeds. Well, the thing is, they’re pretty much everywhere. In fact, there are over 900 Korok seeds in the game. But before you’re able to get them, you’ll have to look for Korok puzzles spread all over the map.

The puzzles vary so they can be fun to look for. We are yet to cover them all, so stay tuned for future guides on how you can find them!
