Tears of the Kingdom has a lot of secrets for players to uncover. This includes secret caves scattered in different regions, waiting to be discovered by many. However, it’s not a walk-in-the-park situation. You will need to defeat enemies or even solve puzzles.
In this article, I will show you how to open the secret cave found in Thundra Plateau. I’ll provide a walkthrough on how to solve the puzzle and save you some time trying to unlock the cave.
How To Open Thundra Plateau Secret Cave
Unlocking the secret cave found in Thundra Plateau requires the players to complete a puzzle. This can be challenging for others, while hardcore gamers such as myself find this easy peezy. That’s why I’m here, to guide you with the easiest solution to the puzzle. Let’s begin!
- First and foremost, you must locate the location of the cave first. It is found on Hyrule Ridge, where the Thundra Plateau is located as shown in the picture below. Here are the coordinates of the location for better map navigation. (-2198, 0929, 0111)
- Once you’re in the location. You will see a bunch of mushroom-shaped trees. Cut down 5 of those trees and attach it all together until you make a post, as shown in the picture. You only need 5. I suggest cutting down the trees near the pillars.
- After creating the post made from the logs. Align the log vertically to one of the pillars as shown below. I suggest you take your time with this step until it is perfectly aligned. Otherwise, it may not work. I’ve done this while on top of the pillars for a better angle and adjustments.
- When you have aligned the log with the pillar. Make a campfire using flint and wood. Then, skip the time till noon. This step is very important, the cave won’t be unlocked when you try doing this during the morning or nighttime.
- This is the moment to unlock the cave. using your ability, lift the log gently and see the magic happen. Viola! The rock blocking the entrance of the cave will move and you can now enter the Thundra Plateau Secret Cave.
As I said, opening the secret cave in Thundra Plateau is easy and simple. However, this is not the end. You will find more secret caves along your journey. Some may require puzzle-solving skills, while others may require brute force to get your way in any secret caves. Be safe out there.
