The Mayatat Shrine located in the Gerudo Desert is one of the most fun shrines to solve in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. How to Complete the Mayatat Shrine in Tears of the Kingdom
- Go to the Mayatat Shrine Location.
- Use the Recall Ability on one of the sliding devices to climb over the high wall and move to the next puzzle.
- Go inside the room on your left and look for the ship pieces.
- Use the Ultrahand Ability to construct two ships and sail your way to the end of the Shrine.
Detailed Walkthrough for Tears of the Kingdom: Mayatat Shrine
To find the shrine’s location, you’ll have to go the southwest of Gerudo Desert Gateway.
Once you have got into the Shrine, you will see some sliding devices. These can be useful for later because they can help you progress further into the Shrine.
Next, you will need to keep climbing that slope until you can no longer climb it. At the end where you see a wall, you may notice that the devices are sliding downwards.
You will need to use your Recall Ability so that one of the devices goes back to their original position. Then, you will want to jump on top of it and let it deliver you through that high wall.
When you are riding the device, pay attention to your left. This is when you can see a room you can go into to start solving the Shrine puzzle.
Once you’ve got in, climb up the stairs to progress further into the shrine. Then, look to your right and you will be able to see some pieces of a boat vehicle.
Next, you will want to use your Ultrahand Ability to bring the pieces together.
Once you have put the seat and the body part together, you will need to find an engine. There are two in the middle of the whole room and are pretty easy to spot. You will want to pick it up with your Ultrahand Ability and deliver it to the ship you’re building.
Then, attach the engine to the back of the ship. After that, your ship should be good and you can start using it to sail around.
For your next step, continue using your Ultrahand Ability and bring the ship to the water. The water is to the left of your character so keep walking that way and you will find the place to put your ship.
After that, face your ship to the direction just like the image down below. It should be facing a North West direction.
Then, jump on it and start sailing forward. After that, keep moving forward but remember to turn your boat a little bit to the right as you sail towards the end.
Once you’ve sailed your boat until you arrive at the end, you will be able to see some staircases that lead upwards.
Walk up the stairs and you will be able to see a treasure chest waiting for you.
Open up the treasure chest and you will be able to obtain 10 arrows.
For your next step, you will want to look to your left and start gliding downwards. You will be able to see three pieces of a boat which you need to put together for it to start working properly.
In order to put the pieces together, use your Ultrahand Ability and put the seat on the body of the ship. Then place the engine at the end of the vehicle and you should be good to go!
Next, use your ability and put the built vehicle in the water. Then, hop on to it and start sailing towards the end.
Once you have crossed the small water pond, keep progressing further into the Shrine and you will reach the end of it. Interact with the statues to obtain your rewards.
The Mayatat Shrine is a pretty fun shrine to solve for players as you get to play with the Recall and Ultrahand Abilities. This offers a more unique experience and different from the usual combat-focused gameplay.
