Finally, we have a new Legend of Zelda game and it’s the Tears of the Kingdom. The game has a massive open world for you to explore and even though it’s the same Hyrule map a lot has been added. From a number of sky islands to the massive underground section of the map you’ll have no shortage of new areas to explore.
Of course, it helps that you have your trusty map to plan out where to go. To unlock the sections of the map though, you’ll need to activate the Skyview Tower of that area. In this guide, we’ll show you how to activate the tower for Mount Lanayru so you can easily explore it more!
Mount Lanayru Tower Skyview Tower Guide
Most Skyview Towers in Tears of the Kingdom have some sort of puzzle or obstacle course you’ll need to go through to activate them. This tower only has the environment for you to worry about since it’s just really cold!
Here are the steps we’ll take to go to the Mount Lanayru Skyview Tower:
- Locate the Tower;
- Increase Cold Resistance through Gear and Food;
- Climb up to the Tower;
- Activate the Tower!
To the northeast of East Necluda is another region in the map called Mount Lanayru. You’ll quickly understand why that region is called that because of the gigantic Mount Lanayru in the middle. If you want to get to the Skyview Tower of this area, you’ll need to prepare a few things first.
It’s really cold on top of Mount Lanayru so make sure to wear some cold resistant gear like the Frostbite Trouser and Shirt. You’ll also want to cook up some spicy food that gives more cold resistance. One recipe that’s easy to make is Spicy Sauteed Peppers which only needs 5 Spicy Peppers! Some weapons also give cold resistance like the Ruby Stick.
After getting some Cold Resistance all you need to do is go up the mountain by either taking the many paths up there or if you’re like me, just climb straight up making sure to watch out for your stamina. Once you’re up there just go inside the tower and activate it, no puzzles unlike the other towers!
That’s how you activate the Mount Lanaryu Skyview Tower in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. That will let you unlock the map of that area to help you explore some more!
