The Mimic has recently gotten an update that adds a lot more content to the game. From an added Nightmare mode to Book 2, you can expect to find some more fun with or without your friends. A couple of things to nose that were added to the game are the Coin System and the lanterns.
The lanterns are useful to navigate in the dark, and the Coin System allows players to purchase items in the newly added Shop. In this guide, I will show you how the Coin System works, and how you can get a lantern.
Coin System & How to Get Lantern
Now there is one thing you should know before you do anything: coins can only be obtained if you are playing on Nightmare Mode only. Normal Mode will not grant you any coins whatsoever, and you can only get your coins once a Nightmare Mode run has been completed. But how can you earn coins?
Earning coins is quite simple. You will need to do tasks as you do a Nightmare Mode run. There are plenty of tasks to do in Book 2 Chapter 2, but here are some of the best tasks that will give you the most coins:
- Submitting meat during the Kuishinbo section
- Cooking meals for Zuboshi
- Damaging the Nagisa
Once you complete a Nightmare Mode run, you will find your coins at the top right screen. You can earn more coins the more task you do so you can use them at the shop. Speaking of which, the shop is where you will be primarily using the coins for. There are no other places where you can use the coins in. There, you can purchase the three lanterns:
- Nagisa Lantern – 1500 coins
- PonPon Lantern – 1000 coins
- Zuboshi Lantern – 1000 coins
The lanterns all function the same: providing light for the player. The only difference between the three lanterns is the color of the light they give out, so it’s not really worth purchasing unless you want to look cool.
That’s all you need to know on how the Coin System works and where you can get the lanterns. Did this guide help you understand what the new additions are? Let us know in the comments below.
