Your complete guide to collecting, evolving, and mastering every Slorm Reaper

If you’re like me and love hoarding loot, then you’ve probably wondered how to collect and evolve every single weapon in The Slormancer. With dozens of unique weapons, evolutions, and Primordial forms, it can feel a bit overwhelming at first, but don’t worry. In this guide, I’ll break it all down and share my own experience unlocking everything the game has to offer.

How to Unlock All Weapons (Slorm Reapers Guide)

There are currently 32 unique Slorm Reapers in the game. Including their evolutions and Primordial forms, that number grows to 102. Eventually, the devs plan to bring that up to 244, so yeah, weapon progression is kind of a big deal.

Each of the three classes (Knight, Huntress, Mage) can use all Slorm Reapers, the only thing that changes is the weapon type (sword, bow, staff), while the stats and effects stay consistent across classes.

How to Collect Weapons (Slorm Reapers)

Most weapons are found organically while playing, by closing breaches, progressing the main story, or doing temple runs. There’s some built-in bad luck protection, so don’t worry if you go a few runs without finding anything.

Some weapons are locked behind challenges or are NPC purchases, but for the most part, you’ll pick up a solid arsenal just by playing normally.

Crafting Cross-Class Weapons

Once you own a weapon on one class, you can unlock its equivalent for other classes. For example, if your Mage has Adam’s Staff, your Knight can eventually wield Adam’s Sword, and your Huntress can use Adam’s Bow.

To do this, visit Cory Ironbender in town and select the Forge Storm Reapers option. You must be on the appropriate class to forge the weapon type you want, Mage for staffs, Knight for swords, Huntress for bows.

Understanding Weapon Evolutions

Weapon evolutions are a fun mechanic that isn’t very well explained in-game. I discovered them by accident!

If you look closely at your Slorm Reapers, you’ll notice that some icons are connected, this indicates an evolution path. For example, Adam’s Nostril Sword can evolve into a more powerful version, but only that specific sword can unlock its evolution. You must actively use and level that weapon to evolve it, other versions won’t count.

Some Reapers have:

  • 1 evolution
  • 2 evolutions
  • Or no standard evolution at all, only a Primordial one

Primordial Weapons: What They Are

Primordial Slorm Reapers are enhanced versions of existing weapons. They aren’t new items, they share the same level and experience as their base form.

Primordials can be direct upgrades, sidegrades, or offer completely different effects. For example, my Big Fury saw a massive power boost when upgraded to its Primordial form.

How to Unlock Primordials

By default, you’ll need to get a weapon to level 100 and kill 42,000 enemies with it to unlock its Primordial form. Yep, grindy, but worth it!

Some players have reported unlocking Primordials earlier, around level 74 or 87, if they hit the kill threshold first. So yes, both level and kill count seem to be required, and the conditions might slightly vary between Reapers.

Speeding It Up: Weapon Affinity System

Here’s where things get easier: Weapon Affinity. Each weapon is tied to a forging school, shown when you hover over it, e.g., “By Cory Ironbender” or “By Atorias”. By investing in a specific school, you unlock several benefits:

  • Increased weapon damage
  • Improved effects and bonuses
  • Faster Reaper XP gain
  • Lower Primordial unlock level

I dumped 57 points into Atorias affinity, and now my Reapers in that school gain double XP and unlock Primordial forms around level 79, a huge time-saver!

So if you’re focusing on a certain weapon or style, level up that affinity. It’s a no-brainer.

Wrap-Up

Here are my finals tips and insights before we wrap up:

  • Not all Reapers evolve at the same level.
  • Some evolutions are level-based, others are kill-based.
  • A few have unique interactions, like combining evolutions to unlock Primordials.
  • Some weapons don’t evolve at all until they become Primordial.

You’ll need to experiment, test, and grind a bit, but that’s part of the charm! And that’s a wrap on unlocking every weapon in The Slormancer! Whether you’re chasing Primordials, optimizing your class builds, or just want to collect them all (like me), I hope this guide gave you a clear path forward.
