Thymesia: Plague Weapons Complete Guide

Thymesia’s take on a game set in a world that’s been rundown by a plague is a great decision. The great thing about games in the Souls genre is that they can take place in any location at any time period, and it would still rock. Sekiro is set in Feudal Japan. Dark Souls, Demon Souls, and Elden Ring are all set in a medieval fantasyland, but all in their own separate universe. Bloodborne is set in a historical version of Prague. Thymesia takes advantage of the plague theme by adding plague weapons, which we will show how they work.

Plague Weapons Complete Guide – Thymesia

Before we can go into explaining what these Plague Weapons are, what they do, and how to use them, we first need to find out how to get them. To do so, you will need to acquire three Skill Shards for a weapon you want. If you want the Halberd, then you need three Skill Shards for that.

There are a total of 21 Plague Weapons in the game, with the bottom row being boss weapons. Those boss weapons are available after you beat the boss, but to fully upgrade these weapons requires you to beat the boss at least 5 or 6 times.

You will notice that some weapons will have two buffs, while others will only have one. That’s because each Plague Weapon have different requirements of stats to unlock, as well as fully maxing out the Plague Weapon themselves.

For example, you will need to have 20 points of Vitality and Plague in order to unlock both buffs. Not to mention that you also need a large amount of Skill Shards to get the weapon to be maxed out. It’s a bit of a grind to say the least.

Each weapon also has an Extended Action. These actions will basically add additional buffs or moves to the existing moveset. However, you need to have 12 Skill Shards to get to the fourth tier of the upgrade.

Now that we’re done explaining what Plague Weapons are and how to get them, we’ll talk about each Plague Weapons. We’ll show a table on what stats are needed to get both buffs, as well as the Basic Action and Extended Action.
