Achievements are always fun to get in video games, often times most people get the easier achievements by just playing the game normally. Other achievements though need a bit more effort to do, and people often see these achievements and try doing them. This is the starting point of all achievement hunters, since most games these days give you some sort of bragging rights for finishing all the achievements in the game. Often times this comes in a form of a grand completionist achievement that you can show off on your gaming profiles. Some platforms like steam even give you points or cards for achievements, so in this guide, we’ll show you how to do one of these achievements in Thymesia – the Rolling Required Ahead Achievement.

Rolling Required Ahead Achievement In Thymesia

There are plenty of achievements in Thymesia, and some of them can be easy to get like the ones you get for defeating bosses and clearing levels while others take a bit more effort. These achievements are often not done by most players who don’t even look at achievement lists. But for those who do, there is one achievement that you might like.

This Achievement is called “Rolling Require Ahead”. It’s a reference or a subtle nod to the Dark Souls series where this game heavily takes inspiration from. In Dark Souls you can roll to dodge enemies, rolling also destroys destructible furniture when you roll to them. Most of this furniture doesn’t really give you anything but it has become a tradition of sorts for enjoyers of souls-like games.

Thymesia on the other hand replaces the classic roll dodge mechanic for a dash dodge, but the principle stays the same. Dash towards a crate or a barrel and you effortlessly destroy it. You don’t get anything from it but the satisfaction of destroying furniture.

The achievement requires you to break 1,000 barrels. Now, this can be quite time-consuming if you just go around the levels looking for barrels. So instead of doing that we’ll go to a place where you can save time doing this achievement.

When you’re on the first Hermes Fortress Mission, go and find the second beacon. The room next to it has exactly 10 barrels around it. All you need to do is to dash towards them, destroying all of the barrels. Once you’ve done that, go back to the beacon and rest, once you leave the beacon the barrels will respawn. Do this a hundred times and you’ll get the achievement once you rest after destroying a thousand barrels.
