Boss fights are the bread and butter of souls-like games, that and high difficulty coupled with wonky 3D platforming. It’s something that the genre has continued to get better and better at, making interesting bosses that are most of the time unique from one another. Even games like Elden Ring which is often the joked about for the multitudes of copy-paste optional bosses have very unique and unforgettable story bosses. Players often pick which bosses are the best for them and go online to debate on which one was the best and that’s because they’re just so memorable. In Thymesia there’s no shortage of great bosses as well, and in this guide, we’ll show you how to fight the Hanged Queen.
The Hanged Queen Boss Fight Guide For Thymesia
There are multiple types of bosses in the game, there’s humanoid ones that are quick and agile, often fighting on even ground with your character. Then there’s bosses that are so huge you need entire arenas to take them on. While other bosses are in the middle, large monstrosities that aren’t as grand as giant bosses but can hit quick as humanoid ones and hit hard just like the large ones. The Hanged Queen is one of these bosses.
This is the kind of boss that you don’t want to keep in front and be defensive. The Hanged queen can easily close the gap between you and strike you down. The best way to fight this boss is to go around it and stay behind it as much as possible. It won’t simply turn on you and instead do a jumping attack to turn to you. You can easily dodge this out and continue going behind it.
What is annoying about this enemy though is its ability to heal. When it jumps away from you it can do a move that will heal itself. At this point it’s best to continue attacking her to negate her heal. If you don’t take the initiative and stay defensive it will heal back to full. Another move it does when jump back is to do a shout attack so keep that in mind.
Sometimes it will do a move that will drop glowing orange circles on the ground. After a while a spike will shoot upwards so best avoid those.
It’s a fairly simple boss fight as long as you keep the offense and never let the boss heal.
