If you haven’t played Tom Clancy’s Division 2 in some time as well as you might be being a new player of this popular game, you’re probably thinking to yourself is 2023 going to be a year for Division 2? At the very moment, and a period before, Division 2 isn’t in the greatest state.

That is why in this article we are going to be discussing how is Tom Clancy’s Division 2 at the very moment, how it got here, as well as whether is it going to be worth playing in 2023. Let’s get started.

Is It Worth It in 2023? – Tom Clancy’s Division 2

Current & Previous State

Division 2 for over a year was on life support basically. The developers have completely dropped out because they were busy with other projects. It can be said that seasons 5, 6, 7, and 8 were all re-runs of the previous first seasons. That means that for a year Division 2 received 0 content! Updates were a fictional thing that players simply forgot what they look like.

Sometime in 2022, we had a couple of updates like a new game mode, missions, items, seasons 9 and 10, and actually liven up Division 2 at least in some certain aspects. A very big and welcome thing was quite a few bug fixes as well as the new in-game mode called Expertise.

The team that came to support the game with these updates is not the same team that actually developed and created the game. This lead to quite a few issues depending on what player you actually ask. Some liked the new things, some thought it curved out of proportion. If you ask us, however, some new content is always welcomed and these new things by the new team are highly acceptable.

Future Of Tom Clancy’s Division 2

A few months back we got a confirmation for 5-year cycle with updates and a road map. That means that the developers have stated that the game will get new content over a span of 5 years. Us being in 2023 means that there is going to be new content which is a very good deal!

Season 4 which was supposed to already come out but was delayed, made a domino effect that leads to season 5 actually being delayed. All of the things that we could have seen earlier will now be pushed to the end of the year. Some skeptics also might even say that an instance might occur where the updates for 2023 won’t be all that great because of their delays.

The new season isn’t going to be season 12, but season 1 which is supposed to bring a new game mode and a lot of interesting things. There will be a stream that the devs have talked about where they will reveal pretty much what type of content we might end up getting.

Is The Game Dead Now?

There are a lot of comments throughout the internet simply attacking Division 2 as it being a dead game. This is very discouraging for people wanting to show interest in the game. Tom Clancy’s Division 2 is not dead.

There are a lot of questions being asked throughout Reddit and Discord servers that show new players coming along and not only veterans playing it. There are also around 100k people and users coming to it monthly. The total active players can reach up to 4k people playing in the same time in some periods of the week. These are all things that prove that Division 2 is not a dead game.

Is It Worth It?

Division 2 is definitely worth it to be checking out in 2023. If you are a new player there’s easily around 200 to 300 hours of content that you can be going through. There are so many active Discord servers to help you out and form squads that will accompany you.

For the veterans out there, let us hope that the new updates will actually be fixing some bugs as well as bringing a lot of new content. Any type of newly added content is better than nothing at all. The devs are doing a pretty good job with a few exceptions of course, but bringing a road map means that they’re working on something big. We just have to wait now until we see the next big update.
