The latest update for Tower Defense Simulator is now out, and that means even more new stuff! There are a handful of gameplay-related changes, but the thing that most people care about is the release of new skins. In this guide, we will be detailing the steps you need to follow in order to get the Fallen Cowboy skin and show you what it looks like up close!

How to Get New Fallen Cowboy Skin & Showcase

Of course, the first step is to actually have the Cowboy unit unlocked, that much is a given. Once you have it, you can now earn the Fallen Cowboy skin by completing a series of missions.

Fallen Cowboy Skin Quests – Condemned Vigilante

Quest #1 & #2 – Money and Damage

For the first two quests, you can actually knock both of them out in a single solo game if you play it well enough. Basically, you will have to complete the following tasks to get them done:

  • Earn 60,000 cash using the Cowboy
  • Deal 250,000 damage using the Cowboy

Just set up a solo match that can last long enough for you to do these two objectives in one go. If you can’t manage that, just complete them at your own pace, as there is no need to rush.

Some players recommend that you do this on Badlands II, while others suggest playing a single Fallen mode match. Either way, do it solo so that you can maximize how much cash and damage you can rack up.

Quest #3 – Badlands II

For the third quest, you will need to win at Badlands II while also having twelve or more Cowboys deployed. This is actually pretty simple, as the number of Cowboys is shared across the entire team.

What this means is that you can get a group to play with you so that you can each place a few Cowboy units separately to spread out the expenses. As long as the total number of Cowboys in the map add up to at least 12, you should be fine.

One good tip for this is to set up a group where only one person brings Cowboys and places down all twelve on their own. With this, the rest of the team can focus on playing with a normal loadout to quickly and easily clear the level.

NOTE: Some claim that there is a bug that prevents this quest from being completed. This is supposedly fixed now, but in the event that things go wrong, just try again and place down exactly twelve Cowboys only to be sure.

Quest #4 – Fallen, and Again!

Finally, the last quest is to complete two Fallen mode matches on the Dusty Bridges map. In addition to that, you must ensure that a Cowboy is placed down as you get the win for both games.

This is basically a repeat of the previous mission in a different map, except this time, there doesn’t seem to be any required number of Cowboys. A single one should suffice, unless I am mistaken.

The strategy here is going to be the same, too. Just gatherupsomepeoplewhowantto do the quest and ensure that one person brings the Cowboy unit in their loadout. As long as one is deployed when you get the win, it should count for everybody in the match.

Once you have finished this last mission, you should now be able to claim your very own Fallen Cowboy skin. So what does it look like?

Fallen Cowboy Showcase

The Fallen Cowboy is, as you would expect, themed after the Fallen mobs. As such, they all have this dark blue overall color scheme.

As you level up the Fallen Cowboy, he gains a coat, which starts getting longer over the next few upgrades. By the end, he will be wearing a blue trench coat and some bits of armor.

At around the mid levels, his eyes will start glowing, and more crystals will appear all around his articles of clothing. By the end, he will be holding two large guns and his right arm will turn into crystal.

Overall, it is a very sleek skin that begins to look more threatening with each upgrade. It is likely the best skin for this unit so far, at least as far as earnable ones go that only require you to play the game normally.
