Type Soul is a new Roblox game based on the legendary anime series Bleach. In this game, you can either be a Reaper or a Hollow. Depending on what race you choose, you want access to different missions and raids that can be completed to get stronger. This will be a complete combat guide with best-class setups for players that are having trouble getting used to the game’s combat mechanics.
Complete Combat Guide
Overview
The entire combat revolves around particular skills from different combat styles. There are three possible styles, namely Hakuda, Kendo, and Keido. There is an additional medic type as well, but we wouldn’t call that a combat type. The important thing to know here is that when you invest in a skill from a particular skill tree, you give up some other skill from the remaining trees.
A good example of this is if you are rocking a full Hakuda build, then you can deal more damage at the cost of reduced speed. On the other hand, if you go with speed, you can move much faster but miss out on potential damage dealt by Hakuda and Kindo styles. For Hakuda style Demonic Embrace and Tora Reach are the most widely used skills. For Kendo style Vertical Down and Split Gate are the most commonly used ones, alongside Mortal Ties.
Soul Reapers
For Soul Reapers, your build should be focused around what Shikai you are using. For example, with a Water Shikai, your best bet is to pair this with Kendo. The reason for this is that Water Shikai is quite effective at close range and pairs well with the Kendo style. Additionally, you should be using Vertical Down and Split Gate abilities since they allow you to gain Reiatsu back which is the entire premise of Soul Reapers.
Arrancar
For the Arrancar class, you should have the most build freedom in the entire game other than the Quincy class, which will be touched upon later. We recommend using the Hakuda style with the Quincy class. This allows for a lot of movement versatility. For instance, using the Cero Grab and Cero Cornea will allow you to chain some instance air combos. This will trap your enemy in the air and focus them on fighting in an element that they are not used to.
Quincy
The Quincy is arguably the most versatile class in the game, so there isn’t exactly one build that is better than all the others. Due to the build freedom, you can use the Soul Reapers, or Arrancar builds for the Quincy class. Additionally, we recommend using the Flashstep since, with the Quincy class, this works the best allowing for faster movement. Check out the following guide on how to become a Quincy.
Additional Tips
Regarding dodging and parrying, we recommend using the former as much as possible. Parrying has a very short window in this game, meaning that you will usually be unable to parry successfully. Moreover, don’t just spam skills hoping that they can miraculously kill the enemy. Most new players fall prey to this tactic and get defeated by other players. The tip is the reserve your skills and utilize Flashstep as much as possible to stay alive for longer periods.
The last tip is for battling Quincys. Almost all of the Quincy moves are blockable, even the auto-aim ones. Only the attack with the red arrow is unblockable, so watch out for that. When fighting a Quincy, your main aim should be to force them to engage in melee combat. If you gain distance from them to regain health, they will use ranged attacks.
We hope that this guide is helpful for you in terms of combat in Type Soul. We would love to hear from you in the comments below if you have any questions or suggestions.
