With the new update called Mistland you will quickly find out that there are a lot of new resources to learn. In this guide we shall provide you with the most important ones and how they actually work. Let’s get started and see what the new resources are.

All New Resources & How To Get Them | Samp, Eitr, Wisps, Eggs & More – Valheim Mistland

Here we shall go over the newest items that are the most important and how you can get them. We will start off with the most important ones and then go over the rest too. The first one that you should always be on the lookout for is the Wisps.

Wisps

This resource is the most important in the new Mistland update. It is basically the item that will allow you to go through the dark mist and reveal your path as well as use it as a resource for crafting newer items.

You can collect these by crafting a Wisp Fountain. To be able to craft this item, you will need to get the drop that is dropped by Yagluth. Then you just craft it at a stone cutter and place it somewhere outside. Just come next to it at night time and you can collect wisps.

You will need to have Wisps to create Wisp Light. This is a ball that will follow you and guide you in your path through the dark mist.

Armor Sites & Putrified Bone

This isn’t a new item, but the new thing added is that you can get them if you mine all the armor and pieces of weaponry that are thrown outside in the world. You shall need to use the new Black Ax pick to get through it though.

You will come across excavation sites with the Putrified Bone. This is actually the black marble and the only way how you can get it. When you enter inside one of these sites, you are able to obtain the Soft Flesh.

Sap

You will need to get inside the Dvergr new holdings and inside you shall find the Sap Extractor. Then once you have it, you shall go inside the new Steel wood forest and you can place it anywhere on the Ydrassil roots and it will extract some Sap.

You will just need to leave it for some while and you will have a whole plethora of Sap to go around through.

Eitr

Once you have taken a fair amount of Sap, you shall need to make a Eitr Extractor. You will then have to place it inside and power it by feeding it some of the soft tissue. This is an item that you shall need to have in order to make some of the new weapons as well as armor.

Carapace

There are new kinds of enemies called The Seekers in the new update. They are big spider-like creatures when once killed drop a item or a resource called Carapace. This is the new item that is used for all sorts of new items including gear, armor and buildings. Also you can take their meat that you will need for a whole bunch of other recipes.

Black Core & Seal Fragments

The new infested mines are where you are able to find the Black Cores. This is an essential item also needed for many of the new items that you can craft. Also, while here you will be looking for the Seal Fragments.

You will need the Seal Fragmets to take on the final boss in the new update. You can find them in same location.

Ydrassil Wood

Source – Jade PG

You can get this new item needed for crafting recipes by chopping down trees. You are able to get it sometimes from smaller trees, but we would recommend that you go after the bigger ones for much more wood sources.

Eggs

You are able to retrieve these from the trader once you have defeated the Yakala boss. They will cost around 1500 gold each so make sure that you have a lot of them. They can spawn chickens which in turn will give you more eggs.

Those are the most important things that you will need to get in the update. We hope that this guide has been useful enough to teach you all of these things. A big thank you to Jade PG for all the info provided.
