SJW Rerun before Aizen Rerun, who would've known?

If you’ve been keeping up with Verse Piece, you’ll know that even the smallest updates can completely shake up your build, and this update is no exception. In this guide, I’m diving into a tightly-packed update that brings back the Sun Jin-Woo rerun, introduces a brand new equipment system, and throws in some seriously powerful gear and a new wisp to spice up your setup. Whether you’re here to min-max your damage or just want to know what’s worth farming, this guide has you covered!

SJW Rerun & Equipment Guide

Like I’ve mentioned above, the update brings back the Monarch Dungeon (but better). So, first things first, head over to Runes Island to reach it.

You probably know the Dungeon Shop lets you grab daggers for 500 dungeon medals, but with this rerun, the Monarch Dungeon is back, and it’s brought friends. This time around, you’re not just farming for daggers anymore.

Here’s what you can get now:

  • Classic Daggers
  • Egress Helmet Accessory
  • Kamish Necklace (new and powerful!)

The Monarch Dungeon runs in two waves:

  1. Wave 1 – Battle Egress
  2. Wave 2 – Boss fight with the legendary Sun Jin-Woo

I recommend that you turn on Auto Start and Auto Replay in the dungeon settings. It makes farming 1000x smoother.

New Equipment System (And Why It’s a Big Deal)

Verse Piece now lets you equip gear that gives unique buffs, similar to Wisps, but way more specialized. These equipment items are permanent once equipped, unless you use an Equipment Remove Potion to take it off, and that potion will delete the item completely.

Let’s break down the standout equipment you can get right now:

  • Kamish Necklace: This thing is a beast for sword users. I slapped this on my build and watched my damage numbers spike, it’s that good.
    • +40% Sword Damage
    • Drops from: Sun Jin-Woo (Monarch Dungeon)
  • Mage Scarf (Frieren Inspired): Whether you’re grinding levels, gems, or just trying to get rich, this is a solid farming tool. Plus, it’s inspired by Frieren, which may hint at future collab updates
    • +20% EXP, Money, and Gem Gain
    • Drops from: Any type of Chests (small chance)
  • Champion Necklace: If you love cracking open chests and hoping for rare loot, this necklace will become your best friend.
  • Golden Earrings: This one is just plain cracked. Extra damage AND reduced cooldowns? If you’re running skill-heavy builds or looking for smoother rotations, go for these.
    • +20% Damage
    • -20% Cooldown
    • Drops from: Gilgamesh Boss (Desert Town Island)

Mage Wisp (New)

There’s also a new wisp added to the game: the Mage Wisp.

  • +20% Special Damage
  • Drops from: Chest of the World on Fire

It’s simple but impactful, especially for those of you running builds with high skill scaling. Don’t sleep on this one!

Damage Testing for Equipment (How Do They Perform?)

After equipping the Kamish Necklace, I went ahead and ran some quick damage tests. The results? My sword damage went way up, exactly what you’d expect from a +40% boost. If you’re a sword main, this item is borderline essential. As for the Mage Scarf, you can preview its stats in the Stats tab. Once equipped, the gains are noticeable, especially when paired with farming codes or event bonuses.

How to Remove Equipment Items

If you ever want to switch out your gear, you’ll need an Equipment Remove Potion. These potions:

  • Drop from almost any chest in the game
  • Delete the equipped item (it doesn’t go back into your inventory)

So yeah, equip wisely. Once it’s gone, it’s gone. Right now, there’s no way to store or unequip gear safely, which honestly feels a bit limiting. A lot of us in the community are really hoping for an Equipment Storage feature in the future.

Being able to swap between builds without losing rare items? That would be a game-changer. Until then though… choose carefully, and maybe sleep on it before locking in that shiny new drop.

Wrap-Up

The SJW rerun update might look small on the surface, but the gear (equipment) introduced is a game-changer, especially if you’re chasing high damage builds or efficient farming setups. My advice?

  • Grab that Kamish Necklace if you’re running swords.
  • Use the Mage Scarf if you’re grinding XP and currency.
  • And if you’re lucky enough to get the Golden Earrings or Champion Necklace, you’ve got some of the best gear in the game right now.

Still no drop after farming for hours? Don’t worry, equipment has a super low drop rate, so just keep grinding. Luck will turn around eventually.
