In Video Horror Society, a thrilling 4v1 asymmetric action ode to the 1980s horror era, small-town kids face off against horrifying monsters brought to life from the aisles of a 1980s video shop. We’ll show you how to play Video Horror Society in this beginners guide.

Beginners Guide – Video Horror Society

If you are a big fan of the Dead by Daylight series, well this is going to be the next game for you. It is very different from Dead by Daylight and it offers way more positives and possibilities than before.

You will have even a chance to play with your video settings! (yeah, you couldn’t do that in DBD). The developers are very hyped and they are actually big gamers and lovers of their own product.

Let’s see what you’ll need to take care of as a beginner in the Video Horror Society.

Don’t Make Friends With The Killer

Duh. Everyone has watched at least one horror movie in their lives. Well, what you have learned there you will need to do in this game too. Running away and just stay as far away as possible from the lunatic killer that is following in your footsteps.

There is also a very short and brief timer that you’ll see when you’re running away. It is going to be the Blood Markins effect that will pop out on your screen. People will think that this is going to give you away, but not always. Just stay in the hiding position and make sure that you have a good sense of what’s going on around you.

Make sure to have more routes for running away as possible. Don’t go running into a straight line while the killer is behind you. Find obstacles to block the killer, even if he does manage to hit you a couple of times. In most levels of the game also changing the floors will muzzle your footsteps!

Crafting Beginners Guide

If you will do some crafting, you will make sure not to do it while the killer is around you. Keeping a good sense of your surroundings is key to survival in Video Horror Society.

You will be on the workbench, as soon as you hear something coming your way you’ll need to make a run for it. There will be multiple workbenches across the maps so it is better to be safe than sorry.

Collaborate With Other Players

This is a 4 vs 1 kind of situation. Yes, the killer has all the brute force and power to take all of you down, but if you make a plan and a strategy with your fellow comrades you will be an unstoppable power.

Not everyone will experience things as you do them, so sometimes you’ll have to adapt to the players that you might be playing with. Still remember that the key is survival and teamwork always helps.

Stigmas Beginners Guide – Video Horror Society

A squad with a ready supply of Fire, Holy, and Cursed stigmas outperform one with three Shock stigmas. Basically, have a colorful load-out on hand, unless it is the killer’s last stigma.

Having more weapons of a variety at your disposal can get you and your team a big advantage over the killer. He won’t expect what he’s gonna get from you and he will be the one turning into the predator. Only if you’re using communication and teamwork, which is the key.
