There is a system called Affinity in Wayfinder that lets the players customize their characters’ stats and turn them into unique Wayfinders. As great as the Affinity system is, it is also quite difficult to understand and hasn’t been improved in the game yet. In this Wayfinder: Affinty Perks Guide, we are going to explain everything you need to know about this system.
Affinity Perks Guide
Investing in Affinity Perks enhances the stats of your character and lets you access amazing passive abilities.
There are three Affinity Perks on which you can spend your Affinity Points to get these abilities. These are:
- Instinct: Ability
- Discipline: Crit Rating
- Focus: Magic Defense
Each sort of affinity will boost the potency of items associated with a particular stat. Once you hit particular milestones within an affinity, you will also get additional benefits.
The best thing about Affinity Perks is that they let you modify your character however you wish.
That means, investing your Affinity Points on a perk could change the type of your character completely. You can take a character that is initially designed to be a damage dealer and turn it into a supporter.
However, you should keep in mind that these perks are only applicable to certain items. So, it does not add a buff to your character; it is added to their equipped accessories and weapons.
As you spend your Affinity Points on perks and add these perks to your equipped items, a bonus multiplier will also be added to them. Any affinity-aligned base stats coming from the currently equipped loadout will have this bonus multiplier applied to them.
Because of that, it is important to think about what equipment and stat boots you want as you build your character and spend your points accordingly.
Weapons
Just like each Wayfinder, each weapon has affinities associated with it as well. The weapons have three sets of Affinity Align stack groupings that you can upgrade by using Gloom Stones.
Upgrading these stats will permanently increase the value of the weapons. The Maximum number of upgrades is set to 10 for each stack right now.
The stats that are improved on your weapon when you use the Affinity System are determined by the weapon you are upgrading.
Affinity Points
Leveling up in the game will result in gaining Affinity Points. You can get a total of 29 Affinity Points when your Wayfinder reaches the Maximum Level.
Each affinity category has 15 affinity points, for a total of 45. This implies, unfortunately, that you are unable to use your Wayfinder’s full affinity potential.
You can either use your points on one of them to max one out or spread your points among them. It is completely up to you and how you want to play the game.
These are everything you should know about Affinity Perks in Wayfinder. Create your character accordingly and spend your points wisely to create the best character for your own gameplay.
