Elden Ring Nightreign features a large variety of difficult bosses known as Nightlords. These can be quite challenging, but defeating them can be quite satisfactory – not to mention the rewards you get. Even the tutorial consists of a really difficult boss known as the Fell Omen. However, not everyone gets the chance to defeat this boss as you are thrust into the story after a few tries. If you’ve also not managed to defeat the Fell Omen, you might be wondering what rewards you can get for doing so. In this guide, we’ll show you what you can get and how you can fight her again. Let’s dive in!

What Happens If You Beat Tutorial Boss

The Fell Omen is a tutorial boss in Elden Ring Nightrein that you fight towards the end. It is a way for the game to teach you what you can expect – which includes dying multiple times to bosses.

However, you can only get two tries to fight the Fell Omen during the tutorial – once with the Duchess and once solo. If you still die after that, the game just continues with the story.

If you do manage to defeat the Fell Omen, you are rewarded with the Fell Omen Fetish relic. This Relic offers the following benefits:

  • Switching Weapons Boosts Attack Power
  • Improved Throwing Knife Damage
  • Vigor +1.

Don’t worry though, if you did not manage to fight the Fell Omen in the tutorial, you can actually revisit the tutorial.

Additionally, if you’re still not sure what relics do, our relics explained guide will let you know exactly how they work.

In the Guide menu, the first option will be related to the Tutorial. Over here, you should be able to see what button you can press on your respective console. For example, press square if you are on Playstation.

Doing so will reload you back into the tutorial and you’ll be able to fight the Fell Omen again.

Tutorial Boss Strategy

To increase your chances of getting the relic reward, you’ll want to follow the right strategy so you can defeat the boss. After all, you only get two tries before you’ll have to go through the tutorial again.

If you’re playing the tutorial after having experienced a few expeditions, this should also make the fight easier.

After you revive Duchess in the tutorial, she will join you as an ally in fighting the Fell Omen. This is where we recommend taking full advantage of the AI.

When the boss fight starts, we recommend that you let the Duchess engage with the Fell Omen. You can then damage the boss from the back, and retreat when the boss turns her attention to you.

In case Duchess goes down, you can simply revive her and repeat this strategy. Eventually, you should be able to down her.

From there, all you need to do is go sit on the chair that can be found at the end of the arena. You can do this by simply approaching and interacting with it.

This will be the end of the tutorial and you will be transported back to the Roundtable Hold.

When you return to the Roundtable Hold, you will get a notification indicating that you received the Fell Omen Fetish. You will now be able to access it from your Inventory or even equip it if you want.
