The max level in Hogwarts Legacy right now is level 40.

However, levels don’t actually mean you become stronger. What matters in this game is gear stats and talents.

Gear is what helps you increase your stats with Health, Offence, and Defense. Naturally, you will want to have your stats up, which is why you want to get better gear.

Leveling up will not have your stats go up, but will instead grant talent points.
