When it comes to survival it’s always a race against time. Every second counts from the moment you crash into the peninsula. The locals would have heard the loud banging noises your helicopter made so expect company soon. All in due time of course since there’s still plenty of sunlight to burn!

Now in order to survive the first thing on your shopping list should be to hoard every item you can from the crash site. Easier said than done because you’re still short on the rope, if you’ve seen Tom Hanks in Castaway you’ll know how valuable a resource this can be. So let’s go and find some now!

Sons Of The Forest – Where To Find Rope

The rope is a very versatile resource as it can be used for crafting your first bow, zip lines, repair tools, armor, and even ammunition! Since it’s so useful the developers decided to not let you craft them just yet so you will have to search high and low for them as soon as you can!

One of the many places worth checking out for rope is the camps that have been set by your neighbors. If you’re lucky enough you can get there without having to chop someone’s head off.

Check the surrounding area of the crash site too, it’s a pretty realistic enough place to gather rope given that your team has plans on staying around for a while.

If you didn’t crash anywhere near the alps then take a walk along the shore, this place also has bits and pieces of other resources that you’ll find useful other than the rope.

However, if you want to experience The Descent all over again then the cave in the image provided also has one unit of rope in it.

Walk slowly as you might fall over to the bottom, the rope can be found on the right side of the cliff.

Going to some of these places even with your partner is dangerous so you might as well craft a bow and some arrows while you’re at it. If you still haven’t crafted arrows for your bow then read this guide for a quick tip on how to make them!

Here we have Alexis, he's been gaming ever since the second Famicom came out. Which is probably the reason why he goes back to platformers every now and then. Somewhere down the line he started getting more and more fascinated about looking at maps change colors for three to eight hours straight. If he's not out strategizing and beating the life out of his space bar in that order there's a good chance you can find him playing an FPS or talking someone's ear out about how game balance gets in the way of realism. You can tell that he really likes getting the full experience of whatever he gets his hands on.
