The goal of Zoonomaly is to find vital shards that will reveal the origin of the monster and escape a monster-infested zoo. You are going to put an end to the monster chaos by gathering all the key shards through the grounds’ puzzles. In this guide, we will walk you through how to solve the puzzles spread across the zoo to obtain each key shard and unlock the game’s ending.
Complete Guide & Ending
The game begins with a simple yet descriptive main menu that introduces you to the key points and keysets of the game. In this game, you have three objectives you should focus on.
- Collect Shards: Follow the beacons in the sky to locate the shards.
- Solve Puzzles: Complete each puzzle to get access to the shard.
- Stay Alive!
You can take a look at the keyset menu when you first log in and make sure that you have learned everything before starting the game.
Introduction Scene
After the main menu, you can move on and choose to start a new game. Once you do this, the intro scene will begin to play. You are going to see a letter that briefly explains your goal.
To quickly summarize this part, you are a new recruit who is assigned to inspect a zoo. It is stated that this zoo has been infested by monsters from another dimension. Your job is to find 20 shards to reassemble the key and stop the monster infestation.
Your Bloom o’Bang will be a very useful tool for both exploration and defense. With its strong light burst, this tool can fend off creatures and push away physical items. You can see the invisible radiation that anything from Bloomarda emits by using the Bloom Spectrum Screen.
If you are still a little confused about the game after the letter, there is no need to worry about it. The game does not instantly throw you into the zoo to figure out everything by yourself. You will begin to play a short intro first.
Find a Light Bulb for your Bloom o’Bang
When you begin playing, you will see that there are a couple of light bulb symbols on the left corner of your screen. You are going to need to collect light bulbs all around the zoo to keep using your Bloom o’Bang.
Your first mission in the introduction is to show you the importance of these bulbs. You can find your first two light bulbs on the two sides of the door that is right in front of you.
Use your Bloom o’Bang to Destroy the Barricade
Now that you have light bulbs for your Bloom o’Bang, you can destroy the barricade to get inside the zoo. Use your device on the barricaded door to open it.
Keep in mind that doing this will cost you one light bulb. You should always keep an eye on your light bulb count to make sure you have enough.
Find Which Lever Opens the Gate
Your next move is to find a lever that will open the gate to the zoo. In order to locate it, you should use your Bloom o’Bang. After this objective, the introduction part will be over, and you are going to start playing the actual game.
But, of course, we are here to give you all the hints. The lever you are looking for is the one on the right side of the door you used to enter the area.
Collect Key Shards
You are going to collect 20 key shards in total to craft one master key. Before looking for them, make sure to kick every street light to get the light bulbs from them.
Key Shard #1
After collecting light bulbs from street lights, go straight ahead and take the stairs. You are going to see the door you need to unlock right there. Once you have all the keys to craft a master key, you will need to come back to that point and open that door.
Now, to find your first key shard, head in the left direction of the door. However, you are going to see your first monster interaction on your right. There are some safe zones that you can get into to avoid being eaten alive by that monster. Make sure to use them in case they notice you.
Your first key shard is located inside this safe zone. You can use your Bloom o’Bang to see its location.
In order to reach this key shard, you will need to find a way to that key shard. Start by taking the stairs on the left. Then, you will use your Bloom o’Bang to push the plank in front of you. Doing this will help you create a bridge between the two platforms.
Once you do that, get on the plank and stay on the side that is closer to you. It will go up and send you to the other side. Then, you can easily walk up to the key shard and take it.
Key Shard #2
You can now move on to find the second key shard. Take out your Bloom o’Bang and look around. You will see a mutated elephant-looking animal. Head in that direction and get inside that safe zone.
The mutated animals inside the safe zones will not harm you in any case. So you do not have to worry about them at all.
Get inside the building in that safe zone. To do that, you will simply need to open the door and crouch. Make sure to take a look around to get more light bulbs too; you can get the light bulbs from the lights on the ground.
Once inside, follow the tunnel, and it will eventually lead you to the second key shard you are looking for.
Key Shard #3
Leave the area you are in and go to the closest safe zone. You will find the third key shard inside a cell there. However, the gate is locked, and you need to find a key to unlock it.
One of the little monsters around has the key you are looking for. Take out your Bloom o’Bang to see which one has it, and take the key from it. It will run away from you, but you can use your tool’s ability when you get closer. It will make it drop the key.
Now you can go back to the cell and unlock the door. Get the third key shard from there.
Key Shard #4
The game gets a little difficult after the third key shard. The closest key shard location that has the fourth key shard you are looking for has a huge monster walking around.
There, you will see a monster that will try to chase you and a bunch of levers around. You can use both the levers and your Bloom o’Bang to distract the monster. However, we recommend you use the levers as much as you can to avoid losing too many light bulbs.
There, the fourth key shard is inside a cell too, but it is not locked. So the biggest hardship you will encounter there is the huge monster chasing you around. You can get to the shard and take it, as long as you are sure that the monster is not going to catch you.
Key Shard #5
Once again, this will be a little difficult too. This key shard is inside an area that has a mutated monster in it, and it will definitely kill you if you get too close. In order to get it, you need to solve a labyrinth puzzle and make sure to go in the right direction.
We will use images to help you out with this one, make sure to follow them, and you will be fine.
Start by pushing the button closer to you. Take a look at the images below to see it.
Now head right to go to the area you just opened; do not turn, and just go straight ahead. Use the button there to keep moving. The monster will keep trying to chase you as you go forward, so you are not safe yet.
Once it moves, push the same button again.
After that, just keep following the path, and you will eventually find the fifth key shard. Congrats!
Key Shard #6
Once again, use your Bloom o’Bang to see the direction of the closest key shard. It will lead you to a building. The door is not locked, so you can just head inside. Be careful, though; there is a monster inside.
After you get inside that building, walk to the left, and you will find a key right there inside the little cave.
Now, you will need to head in the direction of the monster. The sixth key shard is located behind a locked cell door there. Use the key you just collected to open the door. Take the key shard inside.
Key Shard #7
The acquisition of the seventh key shard is pretty similar to the first one. Once again, you will need to use your tool to find its location. Once you are there, you will just need to go up to the platform and jump on the one with the key shard.
Key Shard #8
Now it is time to get the eighth key shard! This one is also similar to the first and seventh key shards. You are going to need to get on top of a platform to get it.
Start by going up on the first platform. You will use your tool to push the plank in front of you, just like you did on the first one.
After that, walk straight; you will see a gap between two platforms. If you use your tool, you can see that there is an invisible bridge there. Jump on it, and be careful not to fall.
There, you will see another plank. Push it by using your tool, and you will also see that there are two X marks on the plank. Stand on the one close to the edge.
The plank will go up, and it will throw you closer to the key shard. Walk up to it and collect it.
Key Shard #9
You will just need to climb the platforms to find this one too. However, there will be a monster walking around in this area. Make sure to avoid it, and use your tool if you need to.
Jump from one platform to the other until you reach the ninth key shard, and collect it.
Key Shard #10
You will do the same thing for this one as well. But luckily, there will not be a monster walking around this area, so you can relax. Just climb the platforms, push the planks, and get your tenth key shard.
Key Shard #11
This one is located inside the aquarium part of the zoo. It looks pretty beautiful when you head inside, so enjoy the view while you can.
To find the eleventh key shard, walk closer to the big aquarium. You will see a little door on its left; head in that direction.
Keep using your Bloom o’Bang and follow the light to find the shard. If you do this, you will easily locate the shard and will be able to collect it.
Key Shard #12
The next key shard is located in the same area. Just go back and leave the tunnels. Once you arrive, in front of the big aquarium again, go to its right side. You will see a door there. Open it, and take the stairs all the way to the top.
After you finally get to the top, you will just need to push the buttons to move the platforms and get to the key shard.
Key Shard #13
Now let’s head to the closest key shard. Here, the shard is located inside a cell box as well. But this time, the gate is not locked, and you will not have any problems getting it.
The only problem is that there might be a long (very… long) monster chasing you around. Avoid it and get your key shard.
Key Shard #14
This one is pretty similar as well. You will get into the area, push the planks, and stand on the X mark. It will throw you closer to the key shard, and you will collect it.
Key Shard #15-16-17
These three key shards require the same method as well. Use your tool to locate each one of them, and complete the parkours to get them. Push the planks and reveal the X marks to get to the shards.
Key Shard #18
For this one, you will need to deal with levers again. However, the problem is that you need to choose the right lever. The shard is located inside a cell, and there is a monster close to it. There are two platforms close to the cell; pull the lever on the farthest one.
Then, go back to the cell and get the eighteenth key shard.
Key Shard #19-20
The last two key shards are located in the same area, and they are pretty close too. Use the same method to push the planks and get to the key shards. Once you get these two, you can go back to the big door at the beginning and unlock it.
Zoonomaly Ending
Use the master key to unlock the gate door and head inside. Now, you will face a boss there, so make sure to save your game first to not lose your progression.
Inside, you are going to need to pull the correct levers. But there is a boss chasing you around. Use your tool to distract it, and go next to the glowing green light if you are out of bulbs. However, this might end the game for you, as you will not be able to leave. So try not to run out of bulbs.
You will understand which bulbs are correct based on their color. The correct ones will be green, and the wrong ones will be red.
Once you activate the correct levers, go to the green glowing light thing and push the button. Once you do that, the mechanic will start and get rid of the boss monster. Just like this, your mission will be completed, and you will get an ending.
