Communication in any multiplayer game is important. Be it for tactical reasons or just playing around with friends, it’s always good to have it. BattleBit Remastered knows this and that’s why the game has voice chat features that give more fun for the players. Allies can talk, plan and strategize while you throw insults and banter to the enemy.

Voice Chat Explained | How to Change & Use Push to Talk
When you jump into BattleBit Remastered there’s three voice chats that you’ll want to know. There’s Squad Leader Chat, Squad Chat and Proximity Chat. The most you’ll be using is either Proximity or Squad Voice Chat since the Squad Leader chat is only for Squad leaders and even then, it’s rarely used.
Squad Voice Chat (Default Key Bind: B) is where you can voice chat with your squad and them only. Only members of your squad can listen and talk in Squad chat and is great for tactical callouts. Squad Chat is where you talk about what your squad is going to do, where to go and so on. That or just simple banter with your friends or randoms.
Proximity Voice Chat (Default Key Bind: V) is where anyone can hear you based on your distance to them. That goes the same for everyone else, so the farther someone is the fainter their voice is when using it. You use this voice chat to talk to other squads or even to enemies. Usually, people throw insults and banter at the enemies or even play music which just adds to the mayhem!
Remember that Proximity Voice Chat can also be used when you’re down. So don’t be surprised when a downed enemy tries to talk to you. Killing them while they’re down will stop them from talking of course.
If you don’t like Proximity Chat, you can always go your Main Menu and click Audio. You can then turn off Opt-In Voice Chat or Death Microphone depending on your preference. Some people that want a competitive edge just listen to Squad Voice Chat and nothing else. Where’s the fun in that though?
If you’re not fond with the default keybinds for the voice chats, you can go to the Keybinds Menu and change it there. If you like to bind the voice chat to those fancy side buttons your mouse has then you can do that!
