Sometimes there are places in video games that you’ll need to go through hoops to access. In Pikmin 4, you can find a lot of Onions for different Pikmin, but you’ll need to find them first! Some of them are easy to spot but hard to get to, like the Ice Pikmin Onion which is really high up! If only Pikmin can fly or something to make things easier.
In this guide, we’ll show you how to find and get to the ice Pikmin Onion. Now, let’s see what kind of hot hoops we’ll need to go through to get to this chilly thing!
How To Find The Ice Pikmin Onion
There are a lot of onions that you can find in the game and some of them can be in hard-to-reach places. In the Hero’s Hideaway map, you’ll want to go through the Frozen Inferno challenge first to get to the Ice Onion.
Here are the steps we’ll be taking to get the Ice Pikmin onion:
- Head To the Heroes Hideaway and go to the entrance of Frozen Inferno.
- Finish the Frozen Inferno level.
- Go outside the other side of the Frozen Inferno.
- Jump down to where the Ice Onion is.
- Get the Ice Onion!

Detailed Walkthrough
So, to get started you’ll need to head to the Hero’s Hideaway map. There you can use a lift to go to the upper northeastern area of the map. Go to the area where there’s a stove top and there, you’ll find the entrance to the Frozen Inferno level. You can use the map below for reference.
You’ll need to go to through the Frozen inferno level and go out of it at the end. You’ll want to bring a few Red Pikmin for the level since you’re going to need them. Once you finish the level, you’ll go outside the elevated area at the back shown on the picture below.
From there you can use the button next to the exit to activate a fan to let you get here easier. You can also jump down to the Ice Pikmin Onion shown below! Just remember to activate the fan so that if you miss your jump, you can just go up here easier!
Keep in mind that you’ll need at least 30 Pikmins to carry the Ice Onion. Once, you’re ready, go ahead and grab it!
