During the Journey to Melee Island in Sea of Thieves, Groggy Dog Story Commendation is one of the 16 commendations on that island. This is actually pretty tricky because every dialogue is locked behind the progress of the main quest here. If you missed them, you’ll have to start all over again.
Here’s how you can get all 6 dialogues in the commendation from Spiffy.
Groggy Dog Story Commendation Guide
Groggy Dog Story Commendation’s description says “You heard everything Spiffy had to say. (0/6)” We start with who exactly is Spiffy. Spiffy is the family dog of the tavern that bites onto the bone like it’s his long lost grandfather.
Four dialogues are available right off the bat if you talk to him now. In fact, you want to talk to Spiffy first before doing anything at all in the quest. Miss any of the four dialogues and you’ll just have to restart the quest again.
At some point during the quest, you’re going to be able to trade for the Cute Monkey Toy that Spiffy wants. Offer this to the dog and he’ll finally let go of the femur bone for the stuffed toy.
Talk to the monkey again after giving him the toy. Again, don’t miss this because you won’t be able to get the fifth dialogue if you proceed further after this.
Finally, after the cutscene with Corina is over, don’t ask her to leave just yet. The final sixth dialogue is available. Go talk to Spiffy for the final time before asking her to leave. You cannot get his final dialogue after Corina leaves.
