Baldur’s Gate 3 is a party-based RPG game with a rich storyline for you to experience. The outcomes can also vary depending on the choices you make in game. As you progress, there is always the need to become stronger, level up, earn new abilities or weapons.
The Blood of Lathander is a useful Legendary weapon thanks to its amazing effects. If you are looking for an item for your support character, you will want to get this item to better support your teammates. In this guide, we’ll show you how you can get the Blood of Lathander Legendary.
How to Get The Blood of Lathander
In the Rosymorn Monastery region map, you’ll want to head to the Rosymorn Monastery located in the North side of the map. You can also take a cable cart along the way to speed up the process, or you can just walk all the way there with little to no problems.
Once you have arrived at the Monastery, keep going inside from the Monastery’s entrance. When you make it up to the second floor, you’ll want to enter the large ornate chamber. Inside, you will be able to see a large room with a stained glass window in the middle of the floor.
Inside, you’ll be able to see some stone pedestals or altars that have shining stones on top of them. You’ll see a total of 4, with one that has already got a weapon on top of it. You’ll then want to find the right weapons to put on top of the other three to eventually solve this one puzzle.
You can then interact with the stained glass panel in the middle to start looking at hints regarding the puzzle. If you have not guessed it yet, you’ll want to find a Rusty Mace, a Battle Axe and a Warhammer.
In the image down below, you will be able to see the location of the Battle Axe to the very right side of the area. To the left of it, you’ll be able to find the Warhammer. In the bottom right corner of the whole map, you’ll be able to see the last location, which is the Rusty Mace.
The Battle Axe is guarded by the Guardian of Faith. You can choose to use a stealth ability to pick up the weapon then get out safely. Or you can go for the second option, which is to attack the monster guarding the area and finally get the weapon from it.
The Warhammer is also a weapon that is difficult to get. This is because there is also another enemy guarding this weapon. You can also choose to use the stealth ability to pick up the weapon and get out safely or defeat it with your high damage numbers.
For the Rusty Mace, you will not have to fight any enemies. Instead, you’ll want to go to the location and look around for a pile of dirt which you can dig up. After digging the pile, you will be able to see a chest. Inside of it you’ll see the Rusty Mace as well as other items you want to take with you.
Once you have collected all the three weapons, go to the puzzle room and place the weapons in their correct slot. The Rusty Mace goes in the Southeast Corner. The Warhammer goes on the Northeast one. The final slot is on the Southwest, which is where you want to place your Battle Axe. After that, you will solve the puzzle. Then, you’ll see a chest which gives you the Dawnmaster’s Crest as well as some useful notes.
With the Crest obtained, you’ll want to go back down to the statue of Lathander. Then, find the stairs heading down the basement. You will then be able to see a small entrance that leads you to a new area called Creche Y’llek.
After you have arrived at the new area, you’ll want to head all the way to the very Northwest. In the image down below, you’ll see a mark that tells you the exact location. There will be no enemies as you walk along the path so do not worry too much about that.
As you progress, you’ll eventually reach the end. In order to keep going, you’ll want to talk to the Captain and select the dialogues and he will eventually let you in. Other than that, you can go for the bad way and use your pickpocket abilities.
At the end, you’ll be able to find two statues. To solve this puzzle, you’ll want to rotate the two of them to the correct position. You’ll want to point the Southern statue towards the West to represent the sunset. For the Northern statue, rotate it towards the East to represent the sunrise.
Sometimes, these statues can get a little bit stuck, and you cannot rotate them. However, you can use some of the low damaging abilities to damage them a little bit. Be careful not to break the statues, and you will be able to rotate them.
In the Secret Chamber, you’ll see the Energy Source which you’ll want to break in order to get inside. After you break it, the door will fall down, and you will be able to proceed into the next area.
In the next area, you’ll want to look for those the same energy source crystals. As you do that, pay attention to the alarm system around you. These are machines that launch waves to detect you. You can use your hop to jump through the area safely.
After breaking all the crystals, you’ll be able to go to the final area. Here, you will want to insert your Dawnmaster’s Crest inside the mechanics. Then, you will finally receive your Legendary weapon, the Blood of Lathander.
The Blood of Lathander is a useful weapon with decent damage and a unique effect for supports. You will be able to negate damage upon reaching 0 HP, giving you this short window to heal up and get back to the fight.
There will be other spells and effects that allow you blind enemies or deal damage to them. Overall, this is one of the Legendary weapons you can get in the early stages of your progression. If you are looking for an early weapon, this comes in handy.
That is how you get the Blood of Lathander Legendary weapon in Baldur’s Gate 3. As you progress, there are many other weapons you can obtain to become stronger. Once you have got this for your support character, how about getting other DPS weapons to enhance your team’s overall damage?
