Legendary items are a must have in Baldur’s Gate 3. Once you see that orange glow in your inventory there’s a high chance that you won’t be swapping it for anything else. However, it would make perfect sense for these items to not grow on trees so it can be difficult to locate them at times.

How to Get Gloves of Soul Catching Legendary

The Gloves of Soul Catching will be rewarded to you by completing the “Deal with the Devil” quest. This is a quest that you’ll get as you progress through Hell. Quite a useful item as it grants you 10 Hit Points every time you land an unarmed hit.

The first step you’ll need to do in order to get the Gloves of Soul Catching is to travel to the House of Hope. You must have the Orphic Hammer with you at this point, you can get that by signing Raphael’s contract. Talk to Helsik the Diabolist in Devil’s Fee and prepare at least 20000 gold coins. You can half that amount by using a persuasion or intimidation check.

Now that you’re in Hell, move towards the Iron Doors to Hope and another NPC with the same name will interact with you. Agree to save her and continue going north, turn right once you get to the Feast Hall. Find the Prison Hatchway over at X: -6452; Y: 2911and roll a 10 DC Strength Check to get inside Hope’s Prison.

Once you’re inside, head west and push the button on the right side of the wall to access Hope’s prison cell. A fight will break out when you get in since you’re in prison, finish everyone off and smash the crystals that bind her to set her free. You’ll be able to locate the crystals just by looking at the lightning that binds Hope.

After freeing Hope, you need to find Raphael’s Notes from his safe. To get there, you need to find the Cragged Rock that leads out of Hope’s prison at X: -6472, Y: 2942. When you get to the other side, just keep on jumping between the ledges until you get to the balcony behind the Boudoir.

Go to the left side of the room and find Raphael’s Painting. Interact with it and you’ll be able to find the safe with a Dexterity DC of 25. If you fail the dexterity check then fight the Haarlep on the other side of the room in order to get the key.

Go to the Archive next at X: 6540, Y: 2922 and find the contract in the west wing protected by an impervious sphere. Speak the magic words ‘Give me my heart’s desire’ to get the Soul-Sworn Contract. Tear that piece of parchment in two and go all the way back to the Foyer where the exit portal will be waiting.

Raphael however, will get in your way and deliver a monologue about how he dislikes the world of the living. Defeat him to free Hope and more importantly, get the Gloves of Soul Catching.
