Attunements are forms of magic that you, the player, can choose when making your character in Deepwoken. You can also obtain these later on by talking to Spelltrainers hidden around the map. Mastering attunements can be difficult at first, since you’ll need to make changes to your playstyle depending on what you get for yourself. Today, we’ll be going through Galebreath where you manipulate, conjure, and control the wind! Keep on reading if you want to learn more about this attunement combinations!

To get Galebreath, you need to find its master Friid. You can get to her by going to the Isle of Vigils. She’s sitting next to a campfire close to the entrance of the temple. If you like relying on your weapons more than your mantras then Galebreath is no doubt, the attunement you need.

Before we further go into the guide, there are two mantras that you need to prioritize getting. The first one is Gale Lunge, as the name says it launches you forward and can be used to make yourself more mobile. The second one is a support mantra called Gale Wisp. What it does is give you resistance to fall damage. Use this to quickly escape from a fight or bait opponents into following you off a cliff.

To add to those two, you also have two talents that you’ll also want to have. These would be Inhale, and Windstep. You want these two talents because Windstep increases your mobility further without having to rely on your Agility. Inhale, regardless if it’s a common talent, will help increase your damage output.

The way you want to make use of Galebreath is speed and power. You’d want to keep the pressure on your opponent more due to the fast cooldowns you get. You can use Inhale with any ability and simply use it again since it doesn’t put any of your abilities on cooldown. Follow up with a Gale Lunge or Heavenly Wind to get yourself up in the air with a double jump.

Just like with any other Mantra, you need to know when to use your M1, parry, and when to use your block. If somebody hits you while you’re in the middle of using an ability, that ability will simply not count as a hit. It doesn’t help that you now have to wait for a cooldown as well before you get to use it again.

Make sure that you’re using a Dagger or any other Medium weapon while using Galebreath. The attack animations that these weapons have are pretty quick and would make sense to have them paired with an attunement that focuses on the wind.

Here we have Alexis, he's been gaming ever since the second Famicom came out. Which is probably the reason why he goes back to platformers every now and then. Somewhere down the line he started getting more and more fascinated about looking at maps change colors for three to eight hours straight. If he's not out strategizing and beating the life out of his space bar in that order there's a good chance you can find him playing an FPS or talking someone's ear out about how game balance gets in the way of realism. You can tell that he really likes getting the full experience of whatever he gets his hands on.
