Baldur’s Gate 3: How to Recruit Minthara

Baldur’s Gate 3 is one of the most anticipated games released this year, and it certainly didn’t disappoint gamers. The third installment in the series made by Larian Studios has captivated the hearts of many gamers with its expansive open world and RPG elements.

The game features a part system that allows you to update your roster by recruiting new characters with different abilities. This guide will focus on how to recruit Minthara in Baldur’s Gate 3.

How to Recruit Minthara

Location

You can recruit Minthara as part of the Druid’s Grove series of quests. To start the quest visit her in the Goblin Camp. She can be found at the upper right corner of the Goblin Camp next to a crude table.

Meeting Minthara

The interaction will begin with Minthara scolding a Goblin who is under her service. Once she notices you, she will ask your character about the possibility of joining her on the hunt.

Choose to inquire about the hunt, which will be the second option. Choose the second option in the next dialogue choice.

In the next dialogue option, tell Minthara that you already know the location. This will proceed to the next set of choices, where you need to allow her to look inside your mind.

She will be satisfied and proceed to tell you about the plan to raid the camp. In the final choice, ask her what to do once inside the camp. She will inform you to use the Horn to begin the raid and will leave for preparations.

Camp Raid

Following the first interaction in Minthara, head to your camp to rest if you need to recover your health. After that, you should proceed to the Druid’s Grove. Inside the grove, you have to interact with the War Horn to initiate the raid. The location of the horn is shown in the image below.

Using the horn will result in Goblins raiding the place. The first dialogue choice will present itself as Minthara will command you to open the gate.

Simply accept her commands and choose to open the gate that will begin the raid. This will initiate the battle inside the grove. Simply complete the battle inside the Emerald Grove to complete the quest and proceed with the next step.

Moonrise Tower

After the successful raid, Minthara will visit you at your camp. She will instruct you to visit her in the Moonrise Tower to interact with the Absolute.

After this point, simply play the story of the game until you reach Moonrise Tower. Here, you will find that Minthara is held captive as a result of her crimes.

At the first dialogue choice, simply choose to stay silent and see how the proceedings go. This will result in Minthara being sentenced to death.

In the next dialogue, Choice selects the first option to testify that Minthara is a loyal servant. This will be followed by the next choice, in which you need to select the first option once again.

Minthara’s Fate

Following the sentencing, you will now have to decide Minthara’s fate. First, you will have to visit her in prison. Simply leave the Throne room and interact with the door on the right.

Inside the small room, there will be stairs leading to the lower level of the tower. Interact with the stairs to enter the Moonrise Tower Prison.

Inside the prison, take the first left, as shown in the image above. Inside this room, you will see Minthara being tortured.

Interact with her to begin the conversation with her and the torturers. In the first dialogue choice, inquire about what is being done to her. This will be followed by the next dialogue choice, where you will need to deceive her captors.

Once the dice roll is successful, reach out to Minthara’s mind, which will allow you to connect with her. This will be followed by another dialogue choice.

You will need to select the first option, which will involve a Wisdom dice roll. Once the dice roll is successful, you will be able to interact with Minthara.

In the next dialogue choice, select the second option, which will involve Minthara faking obedience. This will make it seem as if her mind has already been broken.

Fleeing Moonrise Tower

Continuing on from the next dialogue choice, your goal will now be to escape Moonrise Tower with Minthara without being detected. The first dialogue choice will come when interacting with the torturers. Simply attempt to Persuade them that Minthara has indeed been broken.

Once the guards have been persuaded, a dialogue choice with Minthara will appear. Simply instruct her to plot her revenge once she is free from the castle. After leaving the cell area, another guard will confront you. Choose the Persuasion option here, and this will also involve a dice roll.

Following this, leave the castle, and you will be confronted by the final set of guards. Zealot Malik and Zealot Merim will question you that Minthara was never allowed to leave the castle.

In the dialogue choice, select the Persuasion option to convince the guards that you will be responsible for her.

After this interaction, simply leave the tower’s premises, and the final interaction with Minthara will begin. Instruct her to find your camp, and the quest will end with her leaving and promising to meet you at your camp.
