There’s always going to be a quest chain in Starfield where the game encourages you to sniff around on your own. Other objectives are relatively easy, child’s play even. That all stops until you’re told to search for clues. These clues aren’t going to appear on your map anytime soon.
Some NPCs might have pointed you in the right direction to aid you in your search, but what happens next if you miss them as well? If you want to be free from the shackles of the Surgical Strike mission read through the guide and finally move on with your day!
Search For Clues Surgical Strike Guide
The clue you’ll be looking for will be in the Clinic, this will take you to Deepala in the Narion System. Accessing the VIP Wing inside however will require you to smooth-talk one of the employees.
The employee you need to talk to is Titus, he’s uncooperative, which is hardly surprising so go into his office and steal his keycard. It’ll be inside of a green safe behind his desk. It’s a novice lock so breaking into it won’t be a problem.
Now that you have the VIP Wing Keycard, make a right turn as soon as you leave his office. Walk down the hallway and turn left to get to the VIP Wing.
Once inside, the first thing you’ll see is a dead doctor rather than a patient. That and a turret will open fire on you as soon as you head for the room in the back.
Destroy the landmine underneath the bed before going inside of the room. Clearly somebody doesn’t want you here. Go to the left side of the bed and grab the recording. You’ll find incriminating evidence here which will direct you to an asteroid mine in Sakharov.
And that’s where you can find the clue while doing the Surgical Strike quest in Starfield. Now, you can go and gun down Maya as soon as you leave the station!
